Question about Tools & Hardware - Others
I moved to a new house and installed the working GE RO - Model #PXRQ15F. I replaced the existing RO with this one (I also replaced all the filters and they are brand new). After installing the RO was not working. When I looked into it I noticed all the water is going out of drain line. No water is going to Tank and/or the faucet. I spent quite some trying to install/re-install to make sure everything is OK but no luck. I need your expert advise. Please help. Thanks,

Disconnect the water pressure tank making sure the end the line hooks up to is open. The tank should be relatively light, and if you shake it you should not hear any water. If you hear water in it, or it feels heavy, that means the bladder inside the tank has failed. Replace the tank with a new one, and set the pressure on the bicycle type valve at 8 PSI before you connect the tank up to the water line.

Hi there is a grommet you can replace.
#WR02X10678 it is about $7.00 It can help seal the plug sometimes. Ge does want you to buy the whole filter assembly it is number
#WR17X11618 $51.50 . You may also consider putting a new filter in. It seals better than the plug it is number
#gwf $42.95. I dont know why they dont sell a o-ring kit. I guess they just dont make much money on o-rings. I hope this will help you. Have a nice day.

First you want to turn the water off, both the in and out on the filter, then push the red button this will release the pressure in the filter so that you can unscrew the catredge housing. I have a plastic wrench that came with mine. it's just a ring with a handle on it, inside the ring are some dogs that catch the ribs on the canister. If you don't have the wrench, the canister is big enough to get 4 or 6 hands on it to unscrew it
