No sound although devices show working okay

make sure all your wires are connected, if you have external speakers, make sure they are plugged in at the correct port on your pc. do you have a sound card, if you do it needs to be enabled in your bios screen. if you don't have a seperate sound card and are using the sound card off *********** board it will also need to be enabled in your bios screen. on most pc's you enter the bios screen by rebooting, when the pc flickers press delete on your keyboard it should bring up the bios screen. good luck!

Assuming you are running some version of Windows, open the System Control Panel. Click on Device Manager to look at your hardware. Check your Sound devices. If you see a yellow or red icon over the one for your sound card, it is disabled or missing something. In that case, right-click on it to see what's going on - select Enable if it is disabled, otherwise select Properties for more information. You may have to disable the on-board sound to prevent conflicts.

Maybe the on-board sound is not enabled in the bios. Restart, enter the cmos and enable the sound. Save and exit. Reboot and install sound driver that came with the system board.

Enableing 2 sound cards

Err not sure but i think i remember trying to use 2 similar SBL cards and having nothing but problems with device manager.

Theoretically you should only need one of them , combined with your motherboards on-board audio.
This will enable you to play the two seperate samples , each exiting via its own lead to suit your mix console.

All you will need is windows media player using the standard on-board audio device

+ another similar player (configured to use the SB card via options)

Leave the on-board device set as the default audio device.
