Prints "blue" on a document that supposed to be "red"

Any document that contains red ink imprints will not print red. The machine substitutes blue for red. All toner cartridges are new and I have tried more than one cartridge for each color. Can this be fixed?

The red color contains the blue and magenta colors so your problem is not printing blue insted of red , your red laser miror is dirty from inside you should open the back of the printer then open the laser scaner then clean it then replace it

Yellow not printing properly.

Go to the maintenance section of your printer on your desktop and clean the cartridges

Start - printers or Start - control panel - printers

Also check the level of your ink while you're there

When printing a photo has a yellow/green tint. All other functions work it prints and scans great. Just have a problem with printing photos.

Possibly it is running low on Blue ink - because colors are usually a mixture of inks - for example green is made from blue and yellow - if an ink runs low it will print the available colors or substitute the next available color.Probably if it prints green yellow - then it has no blue available to make the right shade.

I have a Stylus CX5400 and can't get black to print without mixing blue into it. Tried new cartridges, same effect. On a text document the same lines turn blue everytime I print, the rest prints black. Any...

You may have a leaky blue (cyan) cartridge that has polluted the black output.

Well worth checking the inside of the printhead (where the cartridges are located) and see if there's a build up of ink.

Also, well worth checking that you haven't received an incorrectly marked cartridge that contains cyan instead of black ink.

May not be the direct solution but it will certainly help isolate a few possible causes.

Hope it helps.

Printer prints colours in different colours

Either you are out of red ink or the print head is getting plugged. Most printers substitute the nearest available color when a color runs out or the head is plugged. As some shades of red are made with yellow mixed, it therefore prints only in yellow if red is unavailable.

The machine prints documents when using the print

When not used for any length of time, ink jet printer print heads will clog with dry ink. You can try to manually clean the printhead with a cloth moistened with water or maybe alcohol until you get some ink on the cloth. Then reinstall and run cleaning cycle. If unsuccessful, new cartridges are needed.

Prints all yellow, with some blue and black, no brown

the problem is very simple the magenta ink the cartridge is over or the head is been blocked from where the magenta ink comes out,
because red colour requires ---yellow plus magenta(pink)----to make it red.and ----dark yellow plus magenta(pink) -------- for brown colour.

IP4300

if you have been using this for sometime chances are you are getting a wrong indicator on your screen, sometimes it is not as accurate as supposedly. kindly check the number of prints you made before. i suspect that you are actually runing out on ink

and might need to replace the affected color.

Photocopier prints red

You might be running low on black ink and it's not an item when you print from your computer because the settings you are calling for are different. The computer asks you if you want to print normal...to best, etc.

Printer won't print in black

This could be to several reasons:
1#  The black cart contains blue ink-> Change to a brand new cart.

2# The cart assy has a bottom that is a foil. Sometimes this foil leaks.
Ink will mingle: You need a new cart assy.

Run the cleaning cycle twice after inserting a brand new bk ink cart and print out a test print. If you still see blue instead of bk the assy is leaking.
BTW the bk is darker than blue (or better cyan). You must see bk! So it seems to be the prob with the right ink....

Magenta printing as yellow

Well, first off, are the alignment, and nozzle check sheets looking good? If not, then work on that. If so, then we have a problem. Try creating a test sheet in Word. Make red, yellow blue & black text and see if anything else prints wrong. Get back to me!
