Please run channel auto scan

Auto channel scan is part of the initial set up procedure. Return to that procedure and repeat auto channel scan.

Hi, I have a DYNEX 32in. 720p Flat-Screen TV. I am on Antenna & I can't get any channels below 16.1. I did Auto-scan. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, AngelRock.

Do you have any other devices in your setup (cable box/modem, satellite, receiver, gaming consoles, etc)? What type of connection are you using (HDMI, composite/component)? Are you trying to obtain additional channels through a cable scan, or through basic antenna?

Please select proper input and do a channel scan with the TV remote. Do a channel scan in CableBox if you're using it.

Can't get HD channels selected on tv. Tried auto search with HDTV port connected and the menu selected to HDTV

Hello, the HDTV input is what you would use if you were not using a cable box.
You should connect your cable from the wall to coaxial input on the cable box, and connect an hdmi cable from the hdmi output on the cable box to the hdmi 1 input on your tv and then switch the tv to that input.

Dynex 32" 720 LCD HDTV - no channel listing after run auto scan?

Excuse me but the other answers are written by people who have not actually confronted the problem and are just guessing. They are all wrong. Here's the answer:

If your TV is expecting a TV input, it will keep searching for at least one TV channel on cable or antenna. If you only have a DVD player plugged in, for example, or if your cable is hooked up wrong, so there's no video signal on it, the TV will keep searching forever. (This is an unforgivable design flaw, by the way. But then, it was a cheap TV, wasn't it?)

To solve the problem, look at your remote control. You will find input buttons. Mine are small, along the top, right under the "power" button. Try pressing "video" for example, instead of TV. That stops the TV from hunting for TV channels.

Have a merry Christmas. Enjoy your new TV. Watch it in moderation and eat fruit and vegetables every day.

How do i run a channel scan? there is nothing in the manual

Found this in the most frequently asked questions at the Dynex customer support website on page 3. the website is:(http://www.dynexproducts.com/pc-680-23-dynex-32-720p-flat-panel-lcd-hdtv-matte-black.aspx) You can also call the customer support telephone number at 1-800-305-2204. between the hours of 7am-12am CST. Give them the model number of you television and tell them you are having problems completing the autoscan of the television. I hope this information helps you with your problem. 1.How do I set up my channels or run an autochannel search? 2.Are you using a cable/satellite box, cable connected directly to the TV, or an antenna? 3.If you are using a cable or satellite box you must use the remote that came with that box to change channels. 4.Make sure you have the correct input selected to view channels via the cable or satellite box. For example, if the cable or satellite box is connected via component cables please press input and select Component 1 or Component 2 to view your channels. If you are using cable connected directly to the TV: 1.Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens. 2.Press < or > to select Channel, then press v to access the Channel menu. 3.Press ^ or v to select Air/Cable, then press < or > to select Cable. 4.Press ^ or v to select Auto Scan. Press > or ENTER. 5.Press ^ or v to select Cable System, then press < or > to select your type of cable or satellite system. You can select STD, IRC, HRC, or AUTO. If you are not sure what type of system you have, select AUTO. 1.Press ^ or v to select Start to Scan, then press > or ENTER to start scanning. Your TV memorizes all cable channels you receive. If you are using an antenna: 1.Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens. 2.Press < or > to select Channel, then press v to access the Channel menu. 3.Press ^ or v to select Air/Cable, then press < or > to select Air. 4.Press ^ or v to select Auto Scan. Press > or ENTER. 5.Press ^ or v to select Start to Scan, then press > or ENTER to start scanning. Your TV memorizes all analog and digital channels you receive.

Initial set up w/directv

First, I hope you got an extended warranty with that. Otherwise it's a disposable T.V. after your warranty is up.NO PARTS are available. Hope it lasts more than a year..if your lucky. You need to change the channels on the direct tv box. Don't scan the t.v. You need the t.v. on channel 3 or video input that the box is connected to. Do you have hdmi cables? How did you hook the box to the T.V.? Did you read your book that came with the T.V. about hooking it up with a cable box??? Same thing as Direct T.V. box. That should show exactly how to connect. More info will help dtermind your problem.

Dynex (no database) since power outage

What you have to do it go to the TV Menu and go to channel. Then go to channel scan and do one of those. THe problem is that is just doesnt know where to look for channels, but a quick scan will fix that.
