Could be both ,there is 1 1.4 amp fuse for 220v or 3.3 amp fuse for 110 volt model.Fuse should be visible, some came with what looks like a black pin and some look like a ceramic fuse. You may also have one that is soldered in .

You could try a manual reset by doing the following:

  1. Unplug the power of your printer
  2. press and hold the power button
  3. Plug in the power while holding the power button
  4. then using a pen, press the Cover detection button (this button is pressed every time you close the cover, this button tells the printer if the cover is open or not. you will need to use a pen or any object that can reach the button since you cannot close the cover while holding the power button.)
  5. release the power button
  6. release the cover detection button
  7. close the cover and turn your printer on.

Regarding reset codes

so many people i see are looking for this so called magic reset code and were is the reset button in 99% of cases there is no simple reset button when there is a internal fault a simple factory reset wont work its a dead compoinent it needs to be found and replaced with a new one. the simplest repair fault is a blown fuse yes in this case you can replace it as in some cases the fuse blows due to bad manufacturing but!! when the new fuse is installed turn the power on covering your eyes if it blows imediatly turn the mains power of and have the unit looked by a licenced tech

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Here is some information taken from a third Party that might help you out:

1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the Power button while pressing and holding the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power LED is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of order), the printer will move into a service mode. (Waiting for menu selection)
4) When the LED lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button 4 times.

The above will get you to Service Mode (and clear the Waste Ink Counter if you wish) and is supposed to work for MP160 also.
Caution if your waste ink pad is full you could overflow if ignored.

Some of the new carts reportedly have fuses which blow if the ink gets too low, denying any further refilling.

To use refills, you will probably have to turn off your Status Monitor.
Go to your printer's Maintenance section.

Bostitch compressor won't start

it has a reset button somewhere and usually a fuse. take the cover off (unplugged) and look for a red reset button or a fuse. if it keeps blowing the fuse or tripping the reset then it will likely need service by a service center.

Denon DRA 395 flashing red power light

Needs to be reset or fuse blown. Take to repair shop, cover has to be taken off and fuse replaced. You could fix it yourself but the warranty won't be honored. Do it yourself electronic shop should have a replacement fuse, may have to be soldered in place. Repair shop, should cost around $30.00 to $45.00 to fix, price of fuse $4.00 to $6.00. Your choice.

Did you try unplugging the unit and taking the cover off and seeing if the internal fuse is blown? There maybe a fuseholder on the rear of the receiver too. It is usually black, 1/2" in diameter, with a twist off cap and the marking of the fuse rating in white. If not, you'll have to take the cover off and look for a blown internal fuse. If the fuse isn't blown, you could have a faulty on/off switch or power supply. If you replace the fuse and it blows again, then something has failed and is drawing too much current and causing the fuse to blow. It could be a bad power supply or a shorted audio output module. If that is the case, it will need to be taken to a shop to be serviced.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!

Microwave

There won't be a reset button.

Is it dead? No display, no lights, etc.?

If your outlet is live but your microwave is dead, then you likely have an open internal fuse, thermostat or thermal cutout.

Please post back if you need more help and think you or a friend want to work on it.

Kenmore 33721 does not start

Same thing happened to me. After taking the cover off I noticed a wiring diagram on the inside cover. There is a fuse between the on/off button and the motor, sure enough the fuse had blown. There is no mention of a fuse in the manual! The vacuum works great again.
