Why does the right needle keep breaking in myloc 634d

The right needle in my Mylock 634d keeps on breaking & I cannot see where or what is causing it to happen. I have checked & rechecked the threading of the loopers and the needles.

I agree with John Smeed It could be that the needle is bent or in the wrong way if it keeps on breaking it must be hitting the throat plate or it's timing may be out( a pro job) Also check the needle is in as high as it can go.

Check that the plate that the needles go through is not damaged or warped in any way ....also check on the needles themselves as if they are cheap you may have rogue needles or indeed not the right needles for the job,

SOURCE: Janome left needle thread breaking CONSTANTLY

Sounds like a tension problem. Your machine should have two tension adjusters. One for each needle. The book that came with your machine will tell you how. Another possibility is a bent needle.

SOURCE: MyLock 634D won't serge

Check that your lower looper is actually threaded and not tangled with the upper looper (needle thread) when it moves. I wish they'd include pictures in the manual how to lay the thread.

SOURCE: The needles on my Janome 9102D keep breaking

I had a similar problem with my machine. What I've started doing with mine is setting the stitch length at 3 and the differential feed ratio at 1.0 then I set all 4 thread tensions at 3. I thread the machine from right to left, and then when everything seems to be working okay I take scrap material to test the tension and then set them to suit the material I'm using. Right now I'm working with a twill so my settings are 4-4-5-5. This seems to have stopped the thread slipping off the bottom looper and I haven't had any more needles break. I hope this is helpful.

Thread breaking

adjust the thread tension of the one that is breaking. If it is the needle the adjust will be in front of you . If it is the bobbin then there will be a small screw holding a flat spring that the thread goes under. Have you put the bobbin in the holder correctly as it is critical the way the thread un winds from the bobbin.

Tension to loose and missing stitches

SKIPPED STITCHES ON A SERGER
1. Is the needle bent or worn--replace
2. Is the needle inserted correctly into the needle holder--check needle
3. Is the Serger threaded correctly--rethread
4. Is the presser foot pressure right for the fabric--adjust

use a scrap piece of fabric to sew on as you adjust the tension
when the tension is to loose adjust one number higher till stitch
looks good

Left needle thread breaking

My first inclination would be to change the needle. I could have been defective from the beginning. If it will serge without left needle, then you know that everything else is threaded correctly. Good luck.
