Are there no beeps you hear when starting? Some error code or so?

try to reset it by pulling the battery on the motherboard, leave it out for 30 seconds and put it back in, sometimes there is also a reset pin you have to place the jumper on for a few seconds, but i don't see that in the pictures for the motherboard you have.

If that doesn't work, try a different videocard.

If that doesn't work, check the memory, if you have multiple sticks, try with only one.

If that doesn't work, maybe try a different powersupply

If that still doesn't work, perhaps CPU module and otherwise you might be SOL

SOURCE: flashed bios wont boot ga-ep43-ud3l

Hi,
Seems like your bios update failed, was corrupt, wrong version or was interrupted.

It's very difficult to recover from a failed bios flash , but if you are lucky you can try clearing cmos then take the battery out overnight. Then reinstall battery and do a HARD BOOT.

If that does not work try this site and read recent comments.

http://ask-leo.com/flashing_my_bios_failed_how_can_i_recover.html

Good luck,
Hank

SOURCE: cannot get the onboard gigabit lan to work?

You need the chipset drivers for the motherboard, to get the onboard ethernet adapter to work. Try this link:

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

If the link doesn't work, go to ASUS address, select the download option, then in the pull down menus, select:

> Motherboards
> AM/AM+
> M2NBP-VM CSM

You'll be prompted for your OS, so pick the correct one, then you'll be at the download page for all your drivers - Chipset, sound, graphics, etc.

Cheers

Gigabyte H61M-DS2 slow on XP

Windows actually run slow because of a hidden part of your system, which is constantly being used by Windows. This part of your PC is called the "registry" and is the central database for Windows, which stores everything from your latest emails to your desktop wallpaper. It's one of the most important parts of Windows and can easily make your PC run slow. The more corrupt registry files your computer has, the more it struggles to read them. The files which makes it run slower and slower. To fix this, you simply need to use a reliable like am using Reginout since 2011. This is the program which actually work by scanning through the registry and fixing any bad files that are in there. Then allows Windows to read as many files as it wants, when it wants to.

How to recover from BAD UPDATE flash bios on MSI H61M-P21 B(3)

Hello here is the homepage:

http://www.msi.com/product/mb/H61M-P21--B3-.html#/?div=Overview

Something has gone wrong trough the update.

The bios update file on the usb disk could, have been damaged.

You need to contact a MSI dealer, they can help you with the problem.
You will probably need to bring the usb disk also.
Here should be a restore file, to make the mainboard running again.

Good luck

Try eliminating has much as possible from the boot options. Pull the memory so you only have on stick in. Make sure you do not have any thing in any of the pci slots. Try to eliminate as many parts as possible for a clean boot. Make sure you do not have any flash drives or ipod anything like that plugged into the usb ports just keyboard and mouse. Let me know what the results are after that

Did you set the boot options to boot from the PATA drive? Did you set the port mode to legacy IDE? Did you try to let the BIOS determine the type of drive?

GA-8SQ800 insert bios disk

Sounds like your BIOS corrupted and you need to re-image.

Should have been a bootable floppy that came with the board. Boot on that and follow on screen instructions.

Don't have the floppy? Use the machine you used to post this problem and Google your brand, model number, drivers. Download the BIOS image routine from the site, run program you download, have a formatted blank floppy ready, insert floppy as instructed, follow on screen instructions, Re boot from floppy you just made.

That should fix you.

Only fans are starting - nothing else

Hi,
Have you checked the CMOS/BIOS Battery? How about reseting the BIOS jumpers?

Test the system using Motherboard with processor and 1 RAM, just connect power and screen only, switch it on. It it fails try another memory... Whether the memory, board of processor is the problem.

Fixya me when done....

Post me back if it doesn't work...
