There are two 1000uf 16V capacitors on the PWB that cause that problem code 34 lamp abnormality. If you need more info let me know.

If the caps are not pregnated looking they are good. I had the same code and I changed the caps anyways and still did not work. I found out that it was the colorwheel. Or it could be the cap that is on the light ballast(if the cap is not pregnated its the color wheel and you can find that on ebay for about a 100 bucks).

Sounds like what you got here is a lmap ballast issue, The ballast transformer is not lighting the lamp thus causing this to code on you.

Kinda expensive to replace and would explain why the other bulb was new or looked new. People assume its the bulb in fact the most common issues with this tv was the ballast.
