Dear all, Recently, my laptop has fallen from my desk, and unfortunately the display has been broken. After the replacement of the LCD, it work for one week and after that, a blue vertical line disappeared on desktop and it did not work. I reboot but during the boot and memory error occurred on a blue page and reboot again. It only work on safe mode or vga mode. Could any one help me to fix this problem? Best,

There could be three different possibilities why you would get a line on your lcd display.
First, it could be a missing signal from the controller IC to LCD driver IC
Second it could be a defective LCD driver IC itself
Third it could be a dry contact in the tape carrier package ( TCP).
Attach an external monitor to your laptop and make it your primary display unit to see if you are still getting the lines if not its you TCP if you still get lines it will need to have either the LCD IC or the controller IC checked and possibly replaced.

My understanding is that you have 2 laptops with the same problem, if that is the case, you need to replace the lcd. When you have lines on lcd's, that is a sign of a bad lcd.
