I have an old Denon stereo receiver DRA - 565 RD. Do you know how I can connect my iPhone to the receiver to play music from my iPhone?

You need a 3,5mm male stereo connector to RCA male jacks (see attached image). Plug the 3.5mm jack to your iPhone and the RCA jacks (red & white or red & black) to your Denon Receiver's CD in or Tape 1 or 2 PB (at the rear of the unit). Then select the input where you plugged the RCA to (front of receiver: CD / Tape-2 / Tape-1). Hope this will help. 25303676-z0ul41frrnrex4ege2epffps-1-0.jpg

IPod hookup to Home audio system

More people these days seem to want to connect their iPod to a home amplifier setup and so there are more units being sold to do so but for those folks who have an older stereo or amp/receiver there is a way to do this. All you need is a little adapter cable sold at Radio Shack or online at Amazon.com which connects iPod to audio amp/receiver. Just plug the 3.5mm stereo male end into the iPod earphone jack and the other end with the 2 RCA plugs, red and white, into an available input on the amp or receiver (CD or AUX for example) and adjust the volume. Be sure to select the input on the receiver where you connected the iPod.

For $2 at Amazon.com, get this cable.

Pontiac grand am wiring diagram

You will need the wire harness that is designed to connect to the stock stereo. Another option is to just install your alpine stereo in the car since you have the wiring harness for that. You will not be able to wire the harness for the alpine unit and have it match the plug type for your stock stereo.

I am attempting to reconnect my home stereo but do not see a cord or wire to connect the bass to the system. is there supposed to be a connective cord for the bass speaker? it is a 530 watt MHCGX99 model...

Hi from one Lakers fan to another 8^) - Yes you do. You need a cable to plug into the
sub-woofer out port on the receiver to the connection on your sub-woofer.

If you can't find the original cable, get a short (three ft.) standard stereo cable (one that has two cables, a white and red). Just plug one of the cables (the red or the white but it has to be the same color on both connections) into the receiver and the sub-woofer.

You'll be ready to pump up the bass.

Enjoy and thank you for using Fix Ya

Hooking sat to car stereo

that plug at the back is not for sat radio. It is for use with steering wheel controls. You have the blue plug at rear of stereo and that is the plug for sat radio. Ericson electronics is contracted to build the sat compatible units that wire into this radio through the blue. plug. if you are using 3.5 plug audio control from a portable sat receiver, the you will need to buy an aux input cable for your stereo..

NAME OF CABLE

It is a flexible ribbon cable and partstore.com should have a replacement. The part number is probably 178326811 which is an 11 wire flat cable and cost a little over $8 at partstore.com They also list another cable that has 6 wires for that unit and is part number 182364111 for about $3, but I don't think that is the one. Good luck.
