Question about Maytag Dryers

Maytag 3000 CF1, CF2, CF3 Error

Our Maytag 3000 dryer currently has a code of CF1 on it, when you press a button it cycles through CF1, CF2, CF3. I have tested the Thermal Fuse (Out) and it seems fine. What should I look at next?

Look inside your machine, you should find the service manual, it will tell you how to put it through self diagnostics. And your Machine may have several Limit switches that you should check.

I am unable to get it into diagnostics since it says to hold down a button for 2 seconds and release for 2 seconds and repeat. When I do this it just cycles CF1, CF2, CF3. Also tested the thermastat seems to be ok as well.

SOURCE: Thermal switch location

On a series 10, it's located behind the bulk head, behind the drum. On a series 11 they moved it to a bracket on the heater cone. Catriver.

SOURCE: dryer won't run

I would say that maytag has a problem with lint collection. That is why so many thermal fuses blow and why so many people just bypass this "saftey" device rendering it more dangerous.
I would advise anyone with this model Maytag dryer to pull the front body panel and clean the lint out and then replace the thermal fuse.

SOURCE: Location of Thermal Fuse

The thermal fuse is located near the heating element. The part number for the replacement kit is LA-1053. You can view an illustrated parts break down of your dryer at Just type in your model number and locate item 5 under the "Heater" section. Pay close attention to the instructions in the thermal fuse replacment kit. One thermostat is for a GAS dryer, one is for an ELECTRIC dryer. Read the instructions and make sure you use the correct one. If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

I have a Maytag dryer model: MEDE300VW0 that is showing a PF code. I have tried unplugging, pressing the cancel button, etc. as recommended on various internet sites. PF code persists.

i know that the voltage overseas is different form the usa, that's telling you there was a power failure while the dryer was running, check the back of dryer to make sure you have 240 volts going to the dryer, you could have a bad power cord or something to do with power source.

Maytag 3000 electric dryer is showing error code cf1, cf2, cf3

you could have a bad control panel, the dryer thinks your pressing the dryness level button in and you're not touching it,you can try unplugging the dryer and rub over the dryness level button and see if it frees up,if not you have to change out the control panel because the button is stuck, when you rub the button it should feel like any other button on the panel

I got pf on maytag 3000 dryer how do i fix it?

"pf" means Power Failure took place during the cycle or the cycle was interrupted, It comes when power connection is loose to the machine, Unplug your device for 5-10 MINS, plug it back then press CANCEL button.

Good Luck and have a nice day.

Maytag neptune washer will not get up to speed in spin cycle error code E3

E3 means that the control board is detecting current going to the motor, but the motor won't turn properly. If the error code somes up all the time as soon as you press the power on button, then it means your control board is bad and reading incorrectly. If it only happens during a cycle, then you need a new motor unfortunately.
