T lck error displayed on screen. Cannot access service menu from my remote (rmt d197p) as no top menu button on remote. Any ideas how to recitify this error?

All you need to change remote control mode to DVD 2 so unit can receive DVD 2 remote signals.
Press and hold Enter and numeric 2 buttons on remote control for 3-4 seconds, this will change remote mode to DVD 2 in remote control, now dvd recorder will get DVD 2 signals and can be operated normally. No need to go back to DVD 3 mode.
