Question about Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load Washer
Starts inconsistently. Power button always turns on but the start button flashes and beeps. Then the power button needs to be turned off, then turned back on and then the start button again. It often takes several tries to get it started.
Richard, it could be a unresponsive control to reboot the unit unplug power cord from wall a couple of min's and plug back in. I would ask if you are gently holding start button in until you here a click then release the button. as the start button is depressed it is a time process to enable to processor to think... let us know.

This is either a problem with the door lock itself or most probably a motor failiure as the door open light also indicates some kind of motor problem. If your appliance is 4/5 years and above then you will most likely need to change the set of carbon brushes on the motor and this will solve your problem
