Florabest submersible pump cracking open

I have a florabest FST1100 A1 immersion pump into which water has leaked. I would like to open up the housing to the electric motor to dry it out but do not know how to split the inner casing apart. Does it unscrew or are the 2 parts a force fit? Can anyone help?

SOURCE: some submersible pumps have a gray motor box to

The difference in the two pumps is that with a three wire pump the start and run capacitors are in the gray box. With a two wire pump the caps. are built into the motor. Because of this with a two wire pump you only need to run the 240v down the well to the pump. The yellow wire on the three wire pumps is the igh voltage wire that come from the start cap. I have used both pums but usually use the two wire because they are easier to hookup and the wire is cheaper because you only need to run three wires. (2 hots and ground) On large HP pumps you will always have three wire motors because the caps. get too big to get them in the motor. It is best to go three phase with big pump if you can.

You can special order the part from a local Home Depot or you can get them online. We have used this site (pump agents) before and they where great to deal with.

Pump continuosly runs after water is cleared out of basin

The problem is with the float switch. I have attached the manual. There is probably something keeping the float from falling back down. Check you sump basin and make sure nothing (including the power cord) is interfering with float.

go to the local tools shop and this blade will be in a collection of assorted blades that you need to remove a variety of screws.. Most use a special screw driver handle (in the assortment) or a small socket that fits the shaft.

I am getting oil out of the pump. Can this be a leak of coolant and can it be fixed.

I am sorry to hear your getting oil, this is not a good thing. If you remove the pump from water and disconnect it from any power source, try removing the lower housing and take a look around the impeller if you can. If the leak is coming from around the edge of the main housing your in luck, it is probably the main seal that can be replaced without too much trouble. If the housing is cracked or leaking near the bearing I am sorry to say it would be best to start looking for a replacement pump.

Submersible sump pump leaking oil. are repair parts available. Pump is Teel 1p914

If it is leaking oil then the case is cracked and it would be as mush to fix it as to replace it.
If it is fairly new the take it back for a replacement if not you can get parts but the case is not one of them.
The problem is that if oil is getting out water is getting in and the pump will fail very soon.

No water on submersible pump

I assume this is a new instalation or you just removed and reinstalled to pump. As you have power on the load side and we assume your wiring to the pump is correst, you need to open a valve on the output side of the pum and bleed the pump. They will become air bound, Leave the valve open until it flow freeley. That should do it

Good Luck
