Question about Photography
First make sure the charger is OK. You can do this by checking the voltage at the plug pins using a cheap multimeter, or just very quickly dabbing an LED across the pins (you may have to trim a lead) - try both ways. When your sure the charger is ok plug it in and try to turn on. Shine a torch into the screen, see if any characters can be seen. If you can it means the backlight circuit is faulty. Make sure you have removed any expansion memory in case that is faulty. Depending on the make of the unit, you could try popping the case using a spudger (a lever made of plastic with a flat blade end - you can make one from an old toothbrush) and check all ribbon cables are secure inside. You will usually have to Google case dis-assembly. Good Luck.
