I assume you are talking about the AC compressor. Low gas or low evaporator temperature will cause it to cut out, If it is blowing relative warm air it is low on gas.

Keeps running compressor

Hey randall, thank you for your post!

I see that you're stating the compressor continues to run on your Frigidaire dehumidifier. What you could be hearing is the fan running. The fan will run when the compressor cuts off so that air can pass over the sensor coils to check the humidity. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

Ford galaxy 1.9tdi keeps cutting out then starts no problem must be something turning pump off lots of people have same proplem but not telling what fixs it

Crankshaft sensor can cause this kind of behaviour does it have the tandem pump on it as these are the best ones to have been put on these engines failing the crank sensor there is a relay under the dash in the fuse box somewhere that also causes this behaviour although I'm not actually sure this happens on the diesel pd engine best to check on the ford forums

I have cable comming in to my 2 tv's no box the video is fine but the audio keeps cutting in and out! Any ideas?

There is a method of "scrambling" signals that will cause that unless you have there cable box. It sounds like that is the problem.

Kenmore dehumidifier 106

Are you sure that it takes 134a? That is the refrigerant that is in cans. Without knowing what the pressures are on the high and low side and the ambient air temp, it is hard to say what the issue is. I would check the compressor cut off and that is controlled by the thermostat. If it is not shuttting off the compressor, then the temp of the evaporator coil gets too cold.

Is it better to have windows closed or open whilst operating a dehumidifier?

think about it. If you are trying to dehumidfy a specific area, then opening windows just lets in more humidity that your dehumidify must take care of.

My Goldstar Dehumidifier keeps cutting off even though its not full of water...any help?

A few things you could try are to make sure the float isn't covered in gunk and moving sticky-like, make sure air filters are clean and the compressor isn't overheating, and make sure the humidistat (probably a knob that says drier with arrows) isn't turning the machine off because it's reached the set level.
