Brector3 provided a highly informative procedure for replacing R9500 shaver batteries. Can you please provide more detail on how to "disjoint" the trimmer to gain access to the third screw? ...

To access one of the screws on the back or the unit, the trimmer must be partially removed. When you pop up the trimmer for normal use, it pivots near the top of the shaver. At this pivot point, each side of the trimmer has a tiny plastic pin that inserts into a socket of the shaver body. You can insert smaill flat screwdriver between the side of the trimmer and the shaver body and gently pry the pins out of their sockets

How do you open the wahl 9918-600 in order to get to the battery to replace it

- There are two screws holding together the two plastic halves of the trimmer case. The hats of the screws are hidden under the black decorative panel (the one which has wavy form). The black decorative panel can be pried off with a small screwdriver.

- In addition, in the "nose" part of the trimmer there are two plastic tabs clipping the two halves together. (Once the screws are removed; and the blades are removed you should be able to open up the unit.)

- [I just took mine apart b/c the motor started seizing.]

Can I replace the trimmer blades (not the shaver heads) on my Philips 8175XL? I use them all the time and they are wearing out. Where do I get them and how do I install them?

You will find a replacement trimmer at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

http://shaveroutlet.com/shaver-replacement-parts/norelco-philips-8100-series-sideburn-trimmer-p-388.html

See disassembly video tutorial at shaveroutlet.com using the link below. You will not have to disassemble as far as the video shows. Just remove the back cover and the trimmer can be 'disjointed' from the cover

I am having problem taking the back off my R-9500 Electric Shaver, I removed 2 screws, one at the bottom & other near button for trimmer. I have pushed the the trimmer button up to open the trimmer,...

The third screw is hard to see. To access it, you will need to remove the trimmer from the point that it pivots out from the shaver. Use a small flat screwdriver to gently pry the small plastic pegs from their corresponding sockets on the shaver body.

How do you re-install the spring on the trimmer? This is for a Norelco 800RX shaver

The spring on the trimmer for model 800RX should not come out. If it has come out from the trimmer, almost certainly the two tiny bits of plastic that hold the spring to the trimmer are broken off. You will not be able to repair this properly...sorry

Braun Pulsonic model 9595. Trimmer will not close properly. Can I repair this myself?

The trimmer is replaceable and can be purchased as an assembly http://buyitnow64.stores.yahoo.net/brshrese7pul.html You will T-6 and T-8 torx drivers to take apart the head end of the shaver. Using these tools, remove the swiveling head, the hold down cover over the motor assembly, and then pop off the drive arm for the trimmer. Now the broken trimmer assembly can be slid out of the end of the shaver by carefully prying between the case where the on/off button is located and the black trimmer assembly base with a small flat blade jeweler's screwdriver. The new trimmer assembly can then be slid into the case and the shaver reassembled. Just be sure the ends of the retraction spring on the new trimmer assembly are installed over the little chrome retaining lugs for them or your trimmer will not fully retract (my trimmer assembly arrived with the spring ends loose and not retained by the lugs).

Suddenly, the trimmer blade of my braun 8985 shaver has started literally plucking my hair..i don't know wht the problem is

If you've used the shaver for a very long time, it could be that the trimmer part has worn out. You can buy a replacement body for your 8985 that includes the trimmer, from shaveroutlet.com. Replacement is not very difficult (not soldering involved). You pull off the bottom plug socket, take off the sides, unscrew 4 torx screws on the body, and the shaver comes apart. Good luck!

Blades do not cut on the remington hc8017 trimmer they just pull the hair

Try cleaning the blades as they maybe clogged with hair.
Oil them regularly to prevent seizing.
