Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I need a wiring schematic too hook up a equalizer to a receiver

No schematic is necessary - the audio outputs of the play station go into the audio inputs of equalizer - then connect the audio equalizer output into the audio inputs of the receiver, could be labeled aux or whatever. Then turn receiver source control to the input you used and voila, SOUND.

How does an earthquake alarm work?

An earthquake alarm provides an early warning by detecting an earthquake's soundwaves before the shear wave hits your area. The alarm will detect a quake that is even many miles away! A loud alarm will then go off.

Hi i trying to figure out how to wire up my rca's i have a pionner deck in on the back of it it has front output, rear output, sub output ,and also a audio output .now im trying to up it to a clarion eq that...

The "Front output" from the Pioneer deck would connect to the "Main In" on the Clarion EQ. I'm assuming that your Clarion EQ can only deal with one input, and will send the adjusted (equalized) signal out both of the outputs.
The "Front output" from the Clarion EQ should go to the "Front Input" on the 4 channel amp.
The "Rear output" from the Clarion EQ should go to the "Rear Input" on the 4 channel amp.
The "Sub output" from the Pioneer deck would connect to the Left/Right Input on the Epicenter. The Left/Right Output on the Epicenter would need a Y-splitter for each side, so that you could connect each amp separately. One suggestion would be to use one sub amp for both subs.

Is there a decibel meter program for Windows? Hi, I've got a quick question.. is there software that would work on my laptop (which has a built in microphone) where I could bring it out to my car so I...

There is software - by TERMLAB that can do it - but it requires a special callibrated microphone - and runs about $650

You will not get anywhere CLOSE with a standard PC mic.

Yourr next option is an Audiocontrol RTA SA-3050a. These can be had on eBay for about $350 - but if you are looking to measure more than 12db, you will need the DB add on mic. for about $250

Finally - there is a piece by audiocontrol which is basically an epicenter and RTA all in one. It is the EPIC-160 which has a built in digital display RTA that measures up to 160db. $175 is the cheapest i have seen on ebay CLICK HERE TO SEE

There is no softrware you can use on a laptop for this purpose - without a decent mic.
TrueRTA offers a free RTA... but again, most mics cant cope with higher SPL... so your readings will be inaccurate.

Generic ones at radioshack only measure about 130db.

i recommend the Audiocontrol Epicenter piece - as you get bass restoration AND the ability to measure SPL.

Thanks for using FixYa!!

Audiocontrol

The Audio Control unit is a considerably better built unit. PC boards are millitary spec. Thick and hearty! will not self destruct like alot of chinese stuff... The epicenter is a phenominal piece of electronics for anyone who loves bass as well as Rock. older recordings lack the intensity in the lower end response by comparason to todays "pop" music. A suggestion though, if you listen to Rap, this unit will cause your sub to over excurt and wear out quickly if not blow. I can't really speak to the Soundstream unit. I was a Soundstram Dealer when it was still a US company. All that's left of the original product is the name. Hope this helps

no u turn it completely off you don't use your hi or low pass at all turn it off. Also unhook the rca's and then do the entire reset by taking out the negative battery cable then replacing it and then plug ur rca's back in again. sometimes the amp gets confused on what kind of signal it needs to put out and I have only seen this with kicker amps the last one was with a kx150.2 and it wouldn't stop doin it til we unhooked the batt. and then checked on the back of the cd player and the rca's were in the speaker out's which is fine if ur just running components but ur not and neither was my buddy.
