SOURCE: bobbin rattles as I am sewing. I have cleaned it

I think that your have the wrong size bobbin inserted, try a metal SA156 or a 15J. Check with Joann fabrics and see what the right size is. You can also call Singer at 1-800-4singer and they can assist you.

I have a brother sq9185 sewing machine and the thread got bunched up and now there is a rattle when I sew. I have changed the neddle, cleaned and rethreaded. It still rattles.

Is it a bobbin rattle? It sounds as if your tension might have gotten messed up. First, open it up and inspect to make sure there are no tiny bits of thread inside, because that can sometimes cause a rattle. Also, try looking in the manual for advice on this. contact the one who serviced it and tell them that the machine is making rattling noise which it didn't do before and see what they say

The bobbin (or bobbin case) rattles while sewing.

Do you have the right size bobbin inserted? Is the case inserted correctly? If these are not the problem, I would call Janome and find out what is causing this if it has just started.
