My paper shredder wont turn off
Shredders have sensors that tell it to turn on. Usually the there is a spring loaded button/sensor in the middle of the slot that you feed the paper in. Once the sensor button is pushed down, it thinks a piece of paper is being fed in and begins to turn the blades.
If your shredder won't stop running, I think the sensor button is stuck in the down position.
1) try pushing the reverse button for a while to see if it clears the problem.
2) if not, then unplug the shredder. Find the button/sensor near the middle of the shredder slot and with a tweezer, try removing any clogged scraps of paper near the sensor button to get it to pop up fully.
3) I've never seen a shredder with more than one sensor in the middle but if yours has more, make sure they are all in the popped up position when there is no paper in the shredder.
4) Plug the shredder back into the AC outlet and try it again. Good luck
