In order to do this, the laptops have to be able to communicate with each other wirelessly. I.e., you have to have a wireless network set up. If you do, then you are "printer sharing", using one laptop as the 'printer server' (with the printer connected to it) and the other as the 'client'. Step by step instructions are available at this link. Type "printer sharing" in the search box in the center of the screen and click on the Search button. Select the option that matches your requirements.

Thank you for your query
To share your printer you will need to do the following
1) On your desktop Click on Start>Control Panel>Printers and faxes
2) Right click on the printer in question and click on sharing
3) Put a dot in 'share this printer' and give it a name
This has now made your printer a shared one on the network
On your Laptops click on Start>Control Panel>Printers and faxes
2) Click on Add printer
3) On the resulting screen put a dot in the option 'A network printer, or printer attached to another computer'
4) Then follow through and the printer you named on your network
This will add the printer to your laptop and will allow you to print
Do the same for the other laptop
I hope this has been useful

SOURCE: where do i find network
The network key is also known as the encryption key or passphrase. It is the password on your wireless network that you have to type in other the computer with a wireless device to connect to the Internet. You normally set it using by connecting to your wireless router using its IP address when it is connected to a computer. Use the Internet to find the default IP address for your wireless router. It is normally in the form 18.104.22.168 or something similar.

error 6000 is a paper jam, which means there is something in the flag that senses whether or not there is paper in the path. Look very carefully in the area just before the paper comes out before the printing area. You will likely find a small piece of paper stuck, or a small object. Often a small inspection mirror helps.
