Wont re-charge,when attempting to,red light flashes once then nothing, same when turning on,green light flashes once, then nothing

Sounds like the battery is dead. Sent it in for repair or buy a new battery if possible. Check google for solutions.

Monitor shows picture for 1/2 second then goes black, 22" display. also will not show display menus. have hooked another monitor up and works fine. also have hooked up to another computor and problem...

When you switch the monitors, do you still use the very same vga cable? If you don't, then it's time to change the monitor. When it turns on and off inmediately it means that it's receiving the signal, but that's it. If it's brand new, exchange it.

DS lite green light comes on, top screen flash, then switches off

Check L2 near the power switch on your DS mobo. That part usually get loosen or taken out when you drop your DS. And usually you can recover it when dismantling your DS.

DS lite, power is on but nothing happens

Ditto... except my daughter is 10. Both screens remain black, are fully charged and green light stays on for more than 4 minutes.
