a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

you need an interface, which then plugs into the back of the avic-d3...
you might get charged up the *** to install it, i recommend if you have any friends who know how to install to help u out... havent even got around to installing mine yet cuz installers were telling me it would be 'custom job' cuz they haven't installed it before, and then you get the hourly rate n they can basically rape u if they want to..

So after you push the button and then press the set button in the steering wheel it does not get into cruise control ? It sounds like a minor electrical problem. If you have warranty still I think the dealership should fix it for free.
Sorry i have not been able to help you.

SOURCE: 2008 Honda CRV ES L
Have a 2007 Crv ex auto first in Ireland was pulling to left on day we pick up car.Dealer is a friend so called Honda Car was brought back 4 times changed tyers etc no fix.Dealer had 6 new cars with same problem so Honda sent engineers from japan to find fix.In the end it was a camber problem ie roads in different country's have a set camber to let water flow off.Crv has no adjustment for this so new shocks in front an everything ok now .Hope this helps?

Had same problem with 2008 Honda Civic.
Note: you will need anti-theft code so get it first!
1. Turn ignition off.
2. Look for fuse box under steering wheel.
3. Remove fuse #35 which is for the Navi-audio unit.
4. Then re-insert the fuse. This will reset the system.
5. Turn ignition on and the Navi-audio on. Buttons WILL be working now.
6. The unit will request for the anti-theft code for Navi-audio system. Enter the 4 digit code....Yippee!
However, I lost all my radio preset stations. Thankfully my saved destinations in navigation system were intact.

Honda say thats not true and to wait until the car tells you when to change it. I have a 2008 CRV and you should and can wait till the oil say 15%! We took ours in after a long road trip for our first oil change. We had over 5K and the oil said 65%. The guy said that we did not need to bring it in. We still had change it while it was their but the car goes around 8-9 K on a oil change. A little wrench will come on and the oil life % will come on when it reach15% and will come on every time you start the car till you get it changed.
