My Honeywell goes to 85 degress when I am trying to lower to 78. Tried hitting run then set temp them hold. Still jumps back to 85 or more. Changed batteries..no help


Run means you are running the program. Hold means you want to hold the set temp and not run the program. Change the temp, press hold. Hold should be displayed on the screen when not running the program.

Trying to set temp on honeywell t-stat


I believe what your experiencing is the 75 degrees is the hold temp position...the display then reverts back to the actual room temperature...it doesn't mean the set temperature changed back to 65 degrees. Try to reprogram the thermostat schedules, and try not to use the hold function...just the temporary hold. (which is bumping the programmed temperature up or down until the next programmed period)

Hi, Either push the program or resume program button... or on some you need to push the hold button again to take the hold off... Check the manual if all of this does not work... but the t-stat may be fried...

Under red welcome sign
Bottom red highlighted box literature/image search
Type in thermostat model number
Click on arrow to right
Then click on the PDF files owners manual / installation instructions

Have honeywell TH8320 how do i take out of


press the "cancel" button on the screen. Remember to program the settings for heat and cool or you will just have to go for the "hold" again. Good luck

I have a Honeywell ST699. Is about a year and a half old. It now repeatedly resets itself to midnight, then goes on for about 3-4 hours, before resetting itself. What is wrong - do I need to replace it?


Check to make sure the built in battery pack is working (holds a charge). Without a functioning battery pack, some timers will not work properly and will only operate for a brief time before resetting itself when the battery pack discharges.

Usually any timer that utilizes a backup battery to retain the program settings will require replacing the batteries or battery pack annually.

You can also check the Honeywell site for more details on your specific model number.

Mebnme, is right, manually setting your therm and holding hold, will override any pre-setting program. Also go to honeywell website, order a manual and program your therm yourself, what model do you have?
