Hi,

Here is what Kitchen Aid says about F4:

F4 Meat probe shorted
1. Disconnect meat probe and measure probe resistance (78kω at 60° F [15.6° C],
37kω at 90° F [32.2° C]).
2. If resistance is not valid replace probe.
3. Insert probe and check for a firm connection between probe and jack (in oven cavity).
4. Check connection between jack and harness (in rear of oven).

It sounds like the probe jack may be bad or the wiring between the jack and the control board above.

SOURCE: kitchen aid kgct3058al2 cook top

5ecf64f.png You may have to take a few of the components apart, but it sounds like your burners or some lines are clogged up. this will happen over time with alot of use. You can clean the burners with a straight pin and use pipe cleaners for the copper tubing. Will be alot of work, but will be worth it to have a properly operating stove top

The probe light is on as well as the question remove probe or enter probe temp. This will not go away. We never used this option. We turned breaker off for 10minutes or longer... Pushed some buttons .

Make sure there is not food residue on the probe jack, it will ground the jack and make the control "think" the probe is in use. You can also send the control in to be refurbished... the solder joints on all of these machines are failing badly by now...

Turned oven to bake it keeps beeping with message "door"

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

Oven does not work, but stove top does. keeps beeping on F1 or F3

your oven temp probe may be bad. you can verify by measuring the ohms across it should be less than 3000 ohms if it is over 3000 ohms the probe is probably bad or open wire or damaged temp probe.

I have a frigidare and my oven wont stop beeping codes like f-10 and f- 30 what does this mean

this is a bad ove probe fault.you will need to check the resistance of the oven probe.remove the back panel and diconnect the probe then check the resistance at room temp the resistance should be no lower than 500 ohms if it is less replace the probe.

you will also need to check the wiring to the probe and main control board,IF the probe checks as good then you will need to replace the main control board.

This will fix your oven, please rate or comment on this resolution.
