  • reddevonhous Jun 29, 2009

'Wot's' is a generic method of demonstrating my depth of thickness when it come to anything computerable!

Anyway, thanks for your time.....still won't print yellow though!

Does the status monitor show the cartridge as being full? Have you printed a test Page? Have you done a head clean?

Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month.

You would know if you took the time to go to the website I gave in my original post. It doesn't get any easier than that.

Yellow will not print. Have changed cartidge to full one and still no joy. Have performed head cleaning procedures 10 tomes. Other colours are fine. Is there anything I can do. Model is DCP-145C purchased...

It may be a busted cartridge. Try again using this time a genuine cartridge.
Turning the printer off, even for long periods (days, not weeks), shouldn't have any effect if the ink is of good quality.

Only my yellow ink cart. keeps running out.

It all depends on what colors are on the pages you print. If you have an image that you always print (eg a logo) that uses little yellow then yellow will last a lot longer. If your print out is fine and the colors are fine I would not worry about it.

Printer Designjet 110 Plus not working

Ink supplies Description HP part number 11 Black Printhead C4810A 11 Cyan Printhead C4811A 11 Magenta Printhead C4812A 11 Yellow Printhead C4813A 10 Black Ink Cartridge C4844A 82 Cyan Ink Cartridge C4911A 82 Magenta Ink Cartridge C4912A 82 Yellow Ink Cartridge C4913A
alot of printers now if the ink in the cartidge is the first ones placed in the system from the box are those that are only half full if not less depending on the maker but I know HP only fills their cartidges only just under the half way make but the printer sees it as a new cartrige because of the chips programming.

Have you tryed to turn the power of and let is sit for about 5 mins and turn it back on with the same result? (ushally a yellow error light is on)

Also if you can find the settings to only print in black and white on the printers properties that might also work as well for a temp fix.

But ushally once one ink runs out it likes to do that you where correct with the "is it because of the finished color cartidges.." either that or the carts all have finally expired.

Nice printer by the way.

But your best way to do it would be to replace the color carts and if not reasonable to do now there is also a way to reset the color carts so that the printer thinks that there is ink in them as well.

hope this helps you a bit if you need more info please let us know.

Changed cartidges & now black and blue don't print on C88+

Try to remove and reinstall the blue and black cartridge and check if you punctured the plastic cap underneath the cartridge itself. then reinstall it and make sure you hear a click or it snaps in. try head cleaning cycle from the utility and print a nozzle check pattern. If same output maybe carts are bad. If that is a genuine epson ink cartridge, call epson and have the ink cartridges replace since they are new ones and for sure epson will send inks since you just bought it. make sure you have date of purchase handy.

pls dont 4get to rate solution if it helps... thanks!!

HP Laserjet 5500dn-Background Colour setting

I take it that machine was fine before you changed cart.

Sounds like you have got a faulty cart, if HP then it is under warranty so return for credit.

but I suspect you have a aftermarket/refill cart that is causing you greif, return it and use genuine HP ones.
