Re: not printing properly specially the black
Printer nozzle is clogged and needs the cleaning process several times. Get a new/refurbished printer from Epson.com and then, Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month. http://www.inkproducts.com/ink-store/

Run a print head nozzle check to see if any of the nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, if necessary.
Printing problems can be caused by cables that aren't connected properly, corrupt drivers, incompatible drivers, printer settings, missing updates, and problems with your printer. Might be best to start by insuring you have the latest printer drivers? Lastly, you might give the printer manufacturer a tech call. Good luck, Pete
Important thing: HP inkjet printers having self align technology & its aligns automatically after replacing the ink cartridge/s.In the process of align it will prints align page &it will read it on the model. Suppose if you replaced yellow cartridge, as usually it will print align page, but if one or more cartridges not printing properly align will not completes. Results every time it will prints the align page when its switching on. Align will completes only when all cartridges/print heads are in healthy condition.. Check the alignpage find out which colors are not printing properly, replace it to over come from this issue. Now you decide what to do?..
If Printer heads health condition is not good, alignment wont completes.. Four individual cartridges & Two print heads, each print head prints two colors.. Black& Yellow, Cyan & Magenta.. Verify which color is not printing properly(Color missing Or white bands).. Perform 2 or 3 times print head cleaning through printer menu..Try for alignment.. If success end.. if no, replace the print head which is not printing properly.. Before replacing the printer head ensure that cartridge ink should be above 30%...
No, that's not what it means.
If printer heads are not aligned, CMYK colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and blacK - the usual colours in a printer) will not print in the correct place.
Assume a dark grey dot is to be printed. For this C, M and Y colored dots have to be placed exactly on the same spot. But if heads are not aligned, the three color dots will not be exactly in the same place. Therefore you will see Cyan, magenta and Yellow dots adjacent to each other instead of one dark grey dot.
It is always a good idea to align the print heads every time a new cartridge is installed.
If ruled lines are misaligned or a printout is unsatisfactory,Print Head Alignment is required.
Steps for Aligning the Print Head.
1) Press [Menu] repeatedly until [Maintenance] appears.
2) Press [Maintenance] repeatedly until <P> appears.
3) Press [Black] or [Color].
The machine print the head alignment sheet.
4) Beginning from column A on the printout, enter checkmarks in the patterns that have the most solid image.
5) Load the checked sheet on the Platen Glass.
When loading the checked sheet, place the front side down, and align the upper left corner of the sheet with the alignment mark on the lower right corner of the Platen Glass.
6) Press [Maintenance] repeatedly until <U> appears,
7) Press [Black] or [Color].
The machine scans the pattern and aligns the Print Head automatically.
Note : If you select <L>in step 2, the machine prints the current Print Head Alignment setting.
Probably out of black ink. Check on your panel and see if there is a light that is on for Black Ink which means it's low. Also on your PC there should be an icon called Canon My Printer (if not on desktop you can find it in bottom left side click and then click all programs). Once you start that program you can check printer status. If low there's a way to bypass that in the program.
It sounds like you are still blocked up. If you have already ran nozzel clean 4 or 5 times I would try soaking the ink cartridges where the ink is discharged. If you go to www.inkmizer.com you can pick up a good, safe, solution just for this problem. They also send you very good instructions. I would be very, very, very careful about getting anywhere near the printing heads especially with liquids. This is an easy way to totally waste your printer.
Good luck, Davecapt
