Cycle the power to the outdoor unit. F8 is a low or high line voltage fault. Not likely a real error if the unit has worked in the past. Possible power surge or something.

APC SmartUPS X (SMX1000)- "AVR Relay Weld" error message

I had this exact problem after a major power out: Fault, call support: AVR Relay weld.
I fixed it by resetting the UPS: Remove battery connect at rear of UPS (it is marked, just unplug the bat connect tab). Plug the UPS back in, and then turn on. Let it power up... it will tell you it needs a battery. Next, power it down and unplug. Plug the batter connect back in (see rear). Plug in the UPS.. power up. Presto.. it is reset. If it is NOT reset, there may be a real 'relay weld'.

Whats the error type for the hotpoint cdt40 error code - flashing on/off and flashing 'time delay'. I've got heat, the pump is working, the water resevoir is empty

went to a free forum and the experts there stated it was a code F08 fault and that one of the heater relays was welded open - to identify the correct relay was prohibitively expensive and a specialist card reader was also needed and that it wasn't worth the repair.

You have a faulty keypad. You could probably special order this part from a local appliance parts supply store for 50-60$ or purchase a new microwave.

Hotpoint ctd 80

The error code F10 is common of heater open circuit or one shot thermostat open circuit.
F8 is indicating static heater relay contact welded closed.
You need to call an engineer.

F3 and F2 Error Codes

If hitting clear/cancel won't clear it try unplugging and then plug it back in. My guess is the oven control is bad. Here are the fault codes for this model.

Failure
Code
Condition Check/Repair F0 or F1 Failed transistor in control If code cannot be cancelled, replace the Electronic Range Control (ERC) or touch pad F2 Oven over temp - exceeded 590F with door in unlocked position or 990F with door locked If actual temp condition occurred, look for welded relay contacts or high resistance connection or any cause in the oven temperature sensor circuit F3 Open oven temperature sensor circuit Measure oven temperature sensor circuit at oven temperature sensor (should be approx 1100 ohms at room temp); check for cut or pinched wire or loss of contact F4 Shorted oven temperature sensor circuit Same as above; check for melted connector or both leads shorted to ground F8 Component failure within Electronic Range Control (ERC) effecting temp processing circuits Replace Electronic Range Control (ERC) F9 Problem with door lock circuit such as pinched wire between Electronic Range Control (ERC) and door lock switch Check wiring and test operation of switch

timeout...I'm guessing you mean that the timer on off doesn't turn anything off. If this is a mechanical timer unit, the contacts are welded. If electronic, your relay is probably welded. Replace the item. If you do go inside, unplug the unit, and then find the relay or contact set and see if they are actually welded. Most units have a diagram on the back. Follow it through with a multitester.
