SOURCE: I have a 7500 watt guardian rv generator and it is

Before starting the genset remove the air filter and check the throttle plate on the carberator, it should be closed. If it is opened, then you choke coil is worn out and needs to be replaced.

My brand new UST 1200W generator engine start OK (single pull) when choke on but won't stay up when choke is off. I changed oil after the first 4 hrs of use. Has this to do with the gasline I used?

It is possible that it may be having trouble if you have some bad gas but I would be more inclined to check the float to make sure it is not hanging up and allowing to much gas to get to engine. I would adjust idle and fuel mix screw all the way shut and then start opening them up about 1/4 turn at a time and try to start and run between adjustments.Only try to start it once or twice in between adjustments to avoid flooding. If you can get it to run good then turn screws one more time or until engine starts missing a little then slowly close until it runs smoothly.Hope this helps you. Thank you.

I hvae a Backpacker blower that starts easily and idles great while choked, but will not run on high throttle whether choked or not

Soafter you get it started, the blower wont run after choke is disengauged. If you give it gas to blow it cuts off...rite?? Have you adjusted the idle mixture screws? if so and it dont work, have you checked spark plug ? Need to know more for better diagnosis.

I have a husky 3750 generator about 2 yrs old. It is ony running on choke. As soon as you remove choke, it stops. I have changed oil and gas, clean the spark plug and check the air filter. Any ideas?

The fuel filter is probably partially clogged or the adjustment screw for the fuel mixture on the carb has backed off due to vibration. Try turning in the screw in 1/8 th of a turn at a time every time you start it.

Screws always loosen due to vibration so you only have to adjust in to fix it.

I own a HondaEU3000I Handi generator and have the following problem It starts on choke and will only run if I leave the choke on. What would be the problem

Chokes are used to draw gas through the center jet to run. If the choke is not working properly and it is not closing all the way the engine cannot draw gas through the center jet and will not crank.
Your problem is just the opposite of that
Yours is getting too much air so that is why it runs only with the choke closed
You will see two set screws with springs attached to them. one is for fuel adjustment and the other for air mixture. Try adjusting the two in all the way and back off 1/2 turn each then try and start it. If not firing look at this website below and click on the video to view how to clean out the jet

Where is carburator on Coleman portable generator «powermate 3750

if it has been submerged in water you wil not be able to start it, once water gets in it will corode the piston and rings and will never work good again,, but the carb is behind the little filter on the side next to the fuel line,, take off the filter and it will just be a little hole with a butter fly flap for the choke and a needle inside of it the needle is where the gas comes in and that adjust the fuel air mix,, csn you run an extension cord to the pump?
