- have tried so many cd brands already but to no avail. virus? i have an update version of kaspersky 2009. havent tried lens cleaning yet.

- thanx basit147, you are right. the only solution is to check first if there is a virus on your system. period. this virus may not bother much on your daily tread but somehow it interferes or worst, it interrupts the burning process.

how i did it
frustrated with none working solutions, what i did was to try the last resort (quite unusual), to scan your system for virus. last resort because i relied so much on my installed anti-virus, thinking it is doing its job. no, it doesnt. i tried to switch my anti-virus off and run a trojan remover. this remover did the job. it has removed quite a number of viruses.

after running this remover, i tried burning and was always successful 100%. i now made it a point before burning, to search and delete viruses first before burning.

another solution though is to change the brand of the disc you are using. but in my case, the ones i used is quite okay.

if all elses fail, then, that is the time to burn the burner and look for a better brand.
