SOURCE: Pitch control center now 3.2% off center

Turn on CDX, hold down Time/Enter and Spin the jog wheel at the same time. This will bring up a selection. Select Clear All then Enter when it says Sure! This resets all programmable settings back to factory default.

SOURCE: vestax cdx-12 , left hand cddrive doesn't

In that case, the lens is weak. You need to change the lens entirely.

I wish you the best of luck.

The jog wheel has snapped of the deck. was wondering if it is replaceable and where to get parts from. cheers

This is a major site for Vestax parts and accessories. If a part is not listed you can contact them and they will have it, it just may not be "listed." http://www.thomann.de/gb/vestax.html

My CDX05 kept skipping last night, it happened on 7 different CDs. The CDX was tilted up though, would this cause the problem?

If it was kept in a dusty place yes!
I would thus try cleaning the lens with a good CD lens cleaner product, that should get rid of any dust problem.

Laser

The laser is probably dirty... Lasers last forever, or 100,000 hours of play, whichever comes first.

Use a CD laser Cleaner ... Radio Shack ($14)

It is a Audio CD with small imbedded brushes. No chemicals involved.
read the instructions carefully and turn on the volume when cleaning. The CD is an AUDIO CD and it will also give audio instructions.

Hope this helps! ... Don't take the unit apart...

Vestax PMC 05 PRO MIXER master output is not working

More than likely the output PCB might be faulty, or the signal amp might be damaged. In either case, not an easy fix. As for service in the UK, try HARD TO FIND RECORDS - they have a pretty good service dept.

Vestax cdx-05s

The problem is with the tiny grey switch that tells the CDX that the platter is engaged. Take the face of the unit off by unscrewing the screws of on the circumference of the bottom of the unit, then locate the copper T shaped piece touching the spindle of the platter. Unscrew the little circuit board (this houses the on/off soft switch for the scratch mechanism) covering the bottom of the T and the T itself. Try powering the unit up and play a CD with the scratch mode activated. Push the grey soft switch to see if the music stops and move the platter back in forth to see if it scratches. If so, all you have to do is bend the copper T trigger to a position where it hits the soft switch just right; off when you don't have the platter pushed down, and on when you do. If the scratching doesn't work when you push the grey switch down, you have a problem I don't know how to fix. Hope this helps!

Pitch control center moved

Hello, Mr. Dixon.
I had the same problem and i decided it whit this procedure:

1. Restoring Factory Default Settings

2. Set the PITCH Slider to the center ( 0 ) position.

3. With the CDX-05 in the start mode displaying “no Disk” hold down EJECT and TIME/ENTER and press FILTER. The TEMP display in the LCD reads 0.0 and the procedure is complete.

Good luck!
