Where is the i o d fuse located

why do you ask this> must we guess the context?
you found the IOD word, congrats !
this is Ignition off Draw. (100% hot full time power feeds)
these are the fuses that the Jeep factory pulls just before shipping
car so the battery dont drain, New jeeps.

they operate all computers on board, PCM/BCM, radio, NAV, etc, to the max on newer cars,
these are mostly memory fuses so the brain on the end DONT FORGET its programming, Errors and configurations and learn modes.
2000 Compass,. what engine, what IOD do you want?

so if confused, why not read the FSM
the FSM covers all that. the factory service manual.
at ALLDATA.com
or at a real jeep page. here RTM
https://www.techauthority.com/en-US/Pages/Home.aspx

i will now give one example from the book on IOD.
just 1.

the operators guide in the glove box has this ,as does the TIPM its self marked.
6 of em in read , below;.

context: what is the job.?
battery drains parked
need to reset learn modes?
resetting DTC with no scan too>?
what?

How do I reset the check engine light 2007 Jeep Compass

all OBD2 cars are the same in order of less collateral damage.

  1. drive and it will self clear, on every car made. can take like many driving cycles. (no DTC # posted, so cant guess)

  2. press reset on any OBD2 scan tool made, (amazing huh>)?)_

  3. pull the super secret PCM memory fuse. FSM shows this.

  4. as does, the alldata.com can VARY by UNSTATED engine option.

  5. jerk the battery neg lug, killing all radio programming and if car has NAV or radio theft codes, risk loosing all that.

all cars, the newer the worse. on some cars you can loose

IDLE learn

steering learn.

transmission learn.

and more. no , id didnt look look yours up, because i cant see

your options,. (day one configs)

here is the official page for the FSM

https://www.techauthority.com/en-US/Pages/Home.aspx

read it or post what your car has.

which engine

what radio model.

what transmissions and 4wd options

got NAV?

next time scan the cars PCM and post the DTC numbers

we can answer, 100x better with real codes. from the scan tool.

The letter C is flasing in my dash board

The flashing "C" in the Instrument cluster if for the Compass. Here's the bulletine...

Subject: Compass Displays a Steady or Flashing "C" In Place Of Directional Heading
Models: 2008 Saturn VUE built on or after 11/09/2007
This PI was superseded to update Recommendation/Instructions. Please discard PIT4699.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern: The compass displays a steady or flashing "C" in place of directional heading.

To return to a normal heading display, press and hold the cluster stem for approximately 2 Seconds.

The displayed heading is not correct after driving for 30 seconds, use the following "Compass Calibration" routine.

Press cluster stem until the Season Odometer is displayed (Not Trip A or B).

Press and hold cluster Stem until the solid "C" is displayed. To the right of the "C" will be the "Zone". Refer to the variation zone map above for the correct setting. Turn the stem Right to increase, Left to decrease. It will take a few seconds for a change of zone to be updated in the display.

Once the Zone is correct, press the Stem to display the Flashing "C". Do not touch the Stem again until the direction is learned. Drive the vehicle in slow circles in an open area until you see a compass (oc tant) heading replace the flashing C.

Note: Vehicles built prior to 11/09/2007 were not built with a compass.

Recommendation/Instructions:
Engineering is aware of this condition and is in the process of root causing. It is known that the Remote Compass Module (RCM), Body Control Module (BCM) and Cluster hardware are not at fault, and these parts should not be replaced.

Reinforce with the PDI technicians that the Compass Zone and calibration is still required as part of PDI.

Hope helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).
