When I try to **** my spring-piston air riffel it want engage.

If when you pull the barrel through its arc and it comes fully back to the usual point that the trigger gets c**k*d and the piston gets hooked in to the trigger system but won't lock in either the springs in the trigger mechanism are not doing there job , the lockup faces are worn out of tolerance on the piston or trigger ,
Would also be helpful to know which air weapon it is to give a better answer to how the C**ki*g and trigger mechanism work

DEWalt clipped head framing nailer. Model DY51825TY1 will not fire

while I have to say I am not a dewalt guy, I can try to point you in the right direction, assuming there are no leaks, then you state the trigger is not engaging , could be three things, one the trip ( safety) or the trigger valve or the trigger its self, if you feel comfortable pound out the pit that holds the trigger in. Just the trigger not the valve, then activate air to the gun, press the trigger, if it fires its the trip or the trigger rocker switch. the trigger can be examined see if its damaged bent or cracked, see if the safety trip is out of adjust, if it doesn't fire it could be the valve spring inside the trigger valve is broken.
don't worry just watch how it comes apart and remember you cant make it worse. it doesn't fire now. anything is an improvement

Why won't my Gamo big cat not **** when I fold barrel.

The three reasons that stop a springer cocking are
1 main spring has broken and stopping the piston reaching the trigger sear and engaging . remove spring to check
2 trigger is jammed and not allowing engagement of sear or trigger unit is broken (may be a spring broken easy fix )
3 piston engagement slot damaged broken ( replace piston)

If it is trigger wear problems think about getting it repaired or replaced depending on length of time owned

New purchase. The trigger lock doesn't work to allow you to turn on. What are we doing incorrectly?

The saw may have an interconnect between the choke and the trigger lock, however unlikely. Set the choke, pull in the trigger as far as it will go, then attempt to set the trigger lock.

If that works, undo it all, and try it again with the choke at half position. The trigger itself usually has to be fully squeezed in for the lock to engage.

If that works, undo it all, and try again with only the trigger fully squeezed.

If none of these sequences work, take it back to the place of purchase and ask them for a demonstration on the proper starting sequence.

Hayter problems

if it has the green trigger you pull up to move height adjuster it is common that they snap or the roll pin comes out. simply take out the 2 cross head scews from the handle and remove handle, the trigger will then be free to remove, there will be a compression spring on the trigger dont loose it!!!! the triggers are quite cheap and can be bought online at ebay etc, just slide trigger back into handle bot forgetting to reit spring. refit handle to chassis and refit the 2 screws

What triggers the seat belts to engage the lock when brakes are applied

It may not be related to the brakes, directly. There is often an accelorometer or at minimum a little lead ball. These devices work on inertia, and it usually takes a pretty sharp stop to trigger the locks...

Must pull the trigger every time to shoot a nail, should be able to hold trigger and tap where i want the nail.

On some models the contact fire is not available. There is a flap that is under the actual trigger. When you press the safety in, it engages this little flap which allows the trigger to be engaged. As soon as the safety comes up this little flap falls back down disengaging the trigger.

There is an optional trigger assembly that you can put on this nailer. You need parts 174299 and 174300 to make this gun a contact nailer.

Dear, cb_scherer,
I can only give you some hints because I do not know the type and model of gun. First if your gun is put together with rivets and not screws, this could not be serviced. In this case you have to buy a new one. Now if you have screws, normaly Torx(T15) or sometimes can open the gun to have a look inside. Some guns have an adjustment for correcting the travel of the trigger. This is a simple alen screw. Now if damage has been caused to the pin that is pushed by the trigger, then also a new gun is a must. In my opinion I rarely service guns. Infact the only guns that are serviceable ,..are of industrial machines. As I said, I do not know what type of machine you have and so I do not know the type of gun you have.
My general advice, is to buy a new gun. A gun is not that expensive. And working with a faulty gun not only in time will damage the machine, but it is also not safe!!
