Dvd plays dvd but door will not open what do i do?

Pull the power plug, then plug it back in. That should reset it and allow the disk to eject. It can take up to half a minute to eject a disk on a DVD player, so be patient.

When i turn system on and hit reset red light comes on and system won't eject disk

well the same thing happened with mine only it was the RROD but in order to get the disk out

1. turn off the switch in the back
2. hold the power button down AND the eject button at the same time
3. and while you are doing that reach around to the back of the system and turn the switch back wait 1 second and the fans will kick on

THE DISK SHOULD COME OUT IF NOT PRESS THE EJECT BUTTON

HOPE THIS CAN HELP!!

Have you tried to unplug the unit for 1 or 2 minutes to see if it can reset the computer chip inside of the DVD player?

OK.. I could not get a disk to eject from my wii console. I tried unplugging it and slapping it on the side.. I also found this site trying to figure out what i can do.. I took some of yalls advice on...

Oh my God ;-) Isn't it funny sometimes when you don't notice simple things, happens all the time.
I one time spent 30mins trying to turn on a PC, to only notice I was pressing the "reset" button and not the power button!
Glad I'm not alone.

DVD Eject tray stuck

I took a stake knife from the kitchen and pried open the tray door as I hit the eject button this got it to open, I then cycled eject and close, eject close a few times and this did the trick, I even played a DVD and that worked fine also. I had the problem with the tray not opening, and the display would read OPEN when I hit eject and I could hear it trying to open. So I wanted to make sure the tray wasn't just stuck or wedged before I took the system apart and looked for sripped out plastic gears or the belt being broken. GoodLuck rayruiz10@yahoo.com

Cannot Eject DVD

There will be a manual eject but its slightly tricky. There will be a small hole(about 1mm diameter) near the tray where you insert the DVD. Just insert a samll pin or something into it and keep shoving it in and out by repeatedly pressing the eject button. If its just a stuck DVD then it will come out in a JIFFy. Otherwise send it for repairs as taking the unit apart might void your warranty! Good luck!
