Will not turn on power lead ok and power to unit and fuse appears ok

There might well be a fuse. Look around the area where the power cord goes in and around the transformer.

2004 toyota tacoma windshield wiper switch or motor

If you have interval wipers, you need to check the 10A GAUGE fuse and the 20A WIPER fuse. If OK, check for power output from the combination switch. Washer-wiper action is synchronized so that washing occurs before wiping but the wash action can be skipped. You can check for power across the BLU and BLU/ORG leads of the washer motor and the RED/WHT and BLU/BLK leads of the wiper motor if you suspect toe motor(s) are bad.

My 1990 ford f150 has power doorlocks and the switch on neither door works, but the power windows work. I checked the fuses which are all ok what else can be the problem?

Hi..your power windows operate through the ignition system and acc modes. Your door lock power source comes straight from the battery. If you have checked your door lock fuse in the fuse panel and it checks okay, then the next step would be to trace down the fusible links leading from the battery. I believe you will find one on the starter solenoid leading to the alternator and 3 more links behind the battery. If you have a voltmeter you should be getting 12 volts on one side of the door switch. If this is the case and the lock does not work, you could have a bad switch. Since you said neither switch works then chances are you aren't getting voltage through one of the fusible links. Hope this helps.

I am attempting to find a wiring diagram for a 91 new yorker. my heater fan quit and the temp is dropping. i have checked all the fuses and they seem to be ok. not sure what to look for next. any help...

Usualy the electrical problems are not due to wires if the fuse did not burn out. More often it would be a bad fan motor or fan switch. If you have an electrical testor find out if there is power going to the motor by placing the testor leads on both sides of the switch when it is on. This may require you to take the dash appart a little. Or you can short circuit the switch by puting a small wire accross the leads to the switch in order to bipas it. If the fan turns on the motor works and the switch is bad. If you are ok with taking part of the dash appart then you can always attach a battery with leads to the motor directly to see if it works.

No heat changed heating element still no heat

Make sure you are getting 220AC volts at the terminal post at the machine then make sure your neutral (ground ) at the terminal post is good. Use a multimeter or "wiggy" to check. First check  for 220 by putting meter leads onto the hot leads. Then check for 110 volts by putting one lead on a hot wire and the other to the middle ground wire then switch to the other hot lead and ground. If this checks out then power is ok. If not check breaker or fuse box. If power is ok then it could be on oh the thermals, the round silver looking things with a wire on each end . They must have continuity thru them for power to flow.

Hi i have a 1998 jaguar xj sport v8 the problem is i went to start it the ignation lights came on and then went of now i have nothing i checked the battery it is ok i checked the main fuses in the boot...

check all leads coming from the battery with an ohm meter, should read zero, no resistance, make sure you do this test with the battery dis-conected otherwise you can burn out the meter or the fuse in the meter. if you need more help get back to me

Rear lights not working

Check the lite bulbs, and fuses. If OK then move to the grounds and power leads. Clean with sand paper. Check for power at the brake lite switch and through the switch also.

Sky box will not switch on

Hi
I know this sounds very obvious, is there power at the wall outlet?.
(In the UK,) has the fuse in plug top blown?.
If both above ok, check fuse inside sky box. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU MAKE SURE THE POWER LEAD IS REMOVED FROM THE SUPPLY. Remove screws from sky box cover and remove top, around where lead enters the unit you should find a glass fuse, if this has blown it should be replaced with identical value fuse as that which was originally fitted, failure to do this will cause ireversable damage.
Good luck

My indicators and hazard warning lights have both suddenly stopped working have checked all fuses all seem ok

I think there is an issue with turn signal switch, test the leads at the switch that are supposed to have power, if they are ok replace the switch. An inexpensive test light will do nicely for these checks.
