Frige part bottom shelves get frozen water and ice dosent work

This is a known problem. Samsung knows about this and if you call them they may come out and fix it for free. Otherwise, the water tanks are frozen along with everything else. Unplug the machine. Take the vegetable/salad draws out and you will see the water tank. You need to unscrew this and lay it against the inside of the fridge. Now remove the lower half inside back panel by the six screws, two will be behind the vent like plastic covers. Unplug the two juction boxes and remove the back cover. You will find that everthing is frozen, take a hairdryer to the lot of it including the drain away hole at the bottom of the lower half. re asemble and all should be ok......until the next time. Ensure you completely unfreeze the drain away or you will get water leaks.

Leak from the freezer into the frige. Frozen hose

The first guy was right. The drain hole is blocked. You probably spilled an ice tray in the freezer or something. Easy fix is to empty the freezer and unplug for about 4 hours to make sure all ice in the freezer melts . Now its the ice under the freezer deck thats blocking the drain hole. Thats why you need to leave the freezer off for so long.

a plugged or frozen drain is a common problem that occurs from time to time in just about all refrigs. Folllow theses directions and it will probably not occur again for 2-3 years.

  • Unplug refrigerator
  • unload food from freezer
  • remove icemaker if present (there are 3 screws remove the one on the bottom and loosen the 2 on top of icemaker then lift it off the 2 screws unplug from wiring harness)
  • remove 2 screws holding rear cover in place
  • move cover to the side or remove from unit altogether
  • defrost any and all ice from bottom of freezer and aluminum drain pan that is now exposed
  • flush drain hole that you will see once ice is cleared with warm water. (sometimes I use a large syringe or turkey baster to forcefully flush hot water thru the drain tube)
  • reassemble in reverse order

We have a LG french door refrig, Model #LRFC25750TT. Ice forms in the bottom of the freezer which causes the door to stick when opening and closing. It appears that water may be coming from the vent on...

You have a frozen drain tube. Remove the back cover after unplugging the unit. Locate the drain tube running down to the drip pan. If it is frozen, thew it with a hair dryer. In the inside, find the drain hole and pour hot water in it until it drains properly. I f it happens again your defrost element is too far away from the aluminum drain pan and needs to be GENTLY lowered closer to the drain

Leaking in the bottom of the freezer side

Plugged up drain. Unplug refrigerator. Remove basket at bottom of inside freezer ( it may be frozen in ice) . Get your hair dryer and thaw and remove all ice, At the very back bottom of inside freezer is the drain that is plugged up. You will see a hole, pour hot water into it. You may need to snake a flexible piece of wire through the hole. Once water goes down its open. Worst case you may have to remove drain tube in back bottom and clean out. Hope this helps

Water coming out of the freezer compartment into main unit

I believe the drain is blocked behind the panel wall inside freezer. You will need to unplug the refrigerator and remove panel and inspect drain at bottom of evaporator. There is a tray with a drain hole on the low end. Also check around area that water enter from back of refrigerator to ice maker. Let me know what you find, Thanks, Sea Breeze

sounds like you have a frozen defrost drain. This is a fairly easy repair you can do yourself.
(sometimes I use a large syringe or turkey baster to forcefully flush hot water thru the drain tube)

that should fix you up. if you have any further questions leave me a comment here and I'll gladly help any way I can. thanks Peytonreassemble in reverse order

Ice acculumates in the bottom of freezer

Defrost drain tube is plugged. Drain is a round hole about the size of a quarter below the evaporator coils. (behind back wall of freezer.) Take a turkey baster with hot (not boiling) water and shoot it into the drain hole until water runs through it (into drain pan under refrig.)
