Sounds to me like the optical sensor has gone bad in your gun. Because the gun portion of the game is virtually the only moving part, it is the part that's most likely to have issues. The barrel of the gun has a small optical sensor board, and these occasionally go bad after years of use and abuse. If you feel comfortable with the task, I'd suggest that you disassemble the gun for your cabinet and locate/remove the small sensor board located near the barrel. this will probably have a small white plastic wire connector (called a Molex) that will allow you to easily remove the circuit board. Then all you'll have to do is purchase a replacement and install it. You should be up and running in no time.
Finding a replacement Optical Circuit board may present some challenges, but you can occasionally find an entire replacement gun on eBay:

Could be couple problems. Are you using the right nails for this tool the right guage and degree? Is the nose worn allowing 2 nails to be able to shoot. Give me the model number and brand and I will try and find a print for this tool with firther suggestions, but these would be the most common

Most clay pigeon shooting ranges have a special exemption certificate so that people can go shooting without having a license; however it would be better for you to get your license anyway just in case there are any changes made to the laws.
