Question about Actron CP9550 OBD II & CAN Code Reader
When i hook up my scanner to my recepticle under the dashboard of my 2000 jeep cherokee classic 4.0 liter vehicle ,it goes through an LCD diagnostic ,then says comunicating , and then shows a CAN fail error...What am I doing wrong
You have to have the contact on, all lights on the dash must be on otherwise you get this error.

Locate the spark plug wires in the Cherokee cylinder head. In the 4.0 liter engine, the spark plugs are below the coil rail assembly. On the 4.7 liter engine, the spark plugs are located under each corresponding engine coil.
