Check the TV settings. If it is set to AV, no channel selection will be available. If select the input to TV, and check.

It appears you need to program the satellite device code back into the remote. Has this worked for you before or just started this trouble out of the blue?
You can some times have the satellite providers install the remote or insert the code information for you [for free most of the time] otherwise you can contact the satellite provider directly for the discrete coding based upon your remote control.

Hey there! My name is Becki Barned, and I am with Dish Network customer service. What you have going on here, if it has not already been resolved, is that the remotes are interfering with each other, or you are getting interference with a nearby remote, such as a neighbor's remote. Here are some simple steps to reprogram your remote! http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/remote-control and also, make sure that your main receiver box is in dual mode (it should have 3 lights- yellow/green/blue.)
