Try spraying some throttle body cleaner into the air intake. Let it sit for few minutes. Then spray in some starter fluid.

1999 dodge grand caravan not getting fuel and fuel pump has Ben replace and still no fuel

Make sure you are getting power back to the pump. Check fuses. Get out your volt meter. If power, take the line loose on engine and tank side and check for blockage. Use an air hose to clear the line. Don't blow it back into your fuel pump.

Masport 600st

remove your carb. have a flat clean spot to work. disassemble the carb paying attention as you do to where thing are. once you have remove the float bowl remove the rubber ring from carb or bowl(whichever it stuck to) remove your float being careful not to crush it or damage it. next remove the needle and seat if it didn't come out with the float. spray a quality carb cleaner through any and all ports or holes you can. some are dummy holes so expect some spray back (wear eye protection), blow carb out with compressed air only. no cloth or paper towel. reassemble in opposite order with new parts. make sure your float height is adjusted properly

HS 80 it seems that when the primer bulb is pumped it pressurizes the tank and will not strrt

First, it helps to understand what the primer/purge bulb is SUPPOSED to do. It's only purpose is to bring fresh fuel from the tank to the carburetor and push any air and old fuel in the carburetor back to the fuel tank. The fuel lines should always be pretty much full of fuel (the retun line will have fuel and air in it).The purge bulb does NOT have to be completely full to work properly. There are also very small check valves in the carburetor near the purge bulb that allow the fuel to flow in the proper direction and not backflow. Sometimes, they go bad or get stuck. This may have happened in your carb, or there is a blockage somewhere.Air and old fuel going back to the fuel tank the way it is supposed to does not pressurize the tank. Also, the tank is supposed to be vente (look for a small black piece called a duckbill under the tank cap). Make sure it is clear and clean. Check all fuel lines for blockage or debris. Sometimes, the lines themselves deteriorate from the inside-out and it is hard to notice until problems like this occur, If you want, remove and check ALL the gas lines. Remove the purge bulb and spray liberally underneath it with say WD-40. It sometimes cleans and clears the check valves.Try all these remedies and post back. I will see your comment and reply.

I've been trying to start my briggs & straton Masport lawn mower, after it was sitting idel for over a year. Replaced oil ok / added new fuel / spark working, however it dies after fisrt kick...

You probably still have old fuel and water in the carb itself.

take off the air filter and look for the bowl screw or clip *(depending on model)

You can drain the bowl and let some clean fuel run through the gas line as well.

If the new fuel was last years you might want to check the gas can for water as well.

I work at a mower shop and at this time of year we do a lot of these kinds of repairs.

Fuel today just isnt kind to equipment that sits around for any length of time.

Car won't start, i think due to a fuel line blockage as i've been running it on next to empty for a while. What is the procedure for setting about clearing the fuel line in a honda civic (98) ?

Make sure the intake part of the fuel filter is disconnected from the main line and you may do some flushing using. Replace the fuel filter. You may also drain the tank to get rid of debris inside it.
