SOURCE: High pitch noise

what you are hearing is the mechanical vibrating of coils & or transformers in the tv. 1st and easyest is to hot glue the parts that is making the noise down. if that does not work, removing & reinstalling the part is next. the last is replacement. the most likely parts causing is the 1. horizontal linearity coil, 2. the run or switch mode transformer, or 3. the flyback transformer. good luck.

SOURCE: Dishwasher Making Loud High Pitched Noise.

A loud high pitch whine while running the dishwasher means that there is something caught in the chopper assembly. To get to the chopper assembly you need to take the racks out and take the pump apart from the inside of the dishwasher. The chopper assembly looks like a metal grate with holes in it. And it might not even be stuck in the grate but somewhere in the pump area due to the water being pumped out, so the best idea is to take the whole thing apart and clean everywhere. However I do not recommend doing this unless you are completely certain you will remember where the screws and gaskets go, otherwise you risk damaging your pump or house from a leak or improper installation. You have been warned.

1995 GrCher Orvis - I have now just started with the same problem. An incessent loud high pitched alarm sound. Identical fuse, ignition on/off, and ticking issues. Can start jeep, warning sounds as normal followed by incessent tone, I can remove fuse to get quiet, but then when I close the door I get the identical alarm sound, but with a slight pause. Tone. Tone, Tone, etc. I can't figure. Tore through all components of dash: to learn that the alarm seems to emminate from the transmission floor area, and is not in the instrument panel (f up #1) nor is it behind the dashboard (f up #2). I'm stuck now... Anybody got something for me? Is it a transmission warning?

High=pitched hum

Hello, Using appropriate safety precautions, you can try prodding the various suspect parts (flyback, deflection yoke, other transformers), even lowly ferrite beads, with an insulated tool such as a dry wooden stick. Listen through a cardboard tube to try to localizing the source. If the sounds changes, you know what part to go after. Once you have located the guilty party, some careful repositioning, a strategically wedged wooden toothpick, or a dab of RTV silicone or hot-melt glue may keep it quiet. Best regards, Arpi
