Clarion nzr503 bluetooth devices won't capture or play sound

Just installed clarion nz503 car stereo. Paired a Verizon iphone 4s successfully. When I try to make or receive calls there is no audio. And when I try to play music using bluetooth using itunes there is no sound. Yet the radio (AM/FM) works fine. Other phones have similar problems.

SOURCE: playing music through car audio system

So have you connected your phone with bluetooth to the device? You need have them connected and setup correctly before it works.

Im pretty sure they installed it correctly just need to adjust some settings.

So you want to have the music from your phone to play on the car stereo. Or what is the main problem?

Thanks, waiting for your reply. Also post your phone brand and model.

SOURCE: bluetooth phone

Check the phone volume on your phone - certain bluetooth phones need the volume set up on the phone as well as the car.

SOURCE: BMW X3 2.0D , unable to view radio display and clock

if you look in the front fuse box there should be a fuse associated with the sound system. what u need to do is take out all the fuses that have radio/cd changer and navsystem*(if there is satnav). You need to take all these fuses out check them. if they are all good clean the contact with a bit of still wool and wipe them, then just put them back in. you have to have all of them out before you replace them. it should work fine after that.

My clarion car radio screen is cracked really bad tv and stereo still work can i just replace the screen

Well if only the screen is cracked it is possible to only replace the screen but if the necessary part, in this case "the screen" , if it is not available in a store then your mechanic or you won't be able to replce the broken screen but rather change the whole device.

I'm not sure if this is your problem or not, but I've read of others having problems with pairing various Clarion car stereos to their iPhones because they ultimately failed to complete the connection via the car stereo's Menu feature. I've heard of this for the Clarion FB288RBT and for the Clarion CZ302A, for instance. Since I don't know your model number, I can only give you general info, but it might work!

The key problem seems to be that people don't know that they need to enter the car stereo's Bluetooth menu, NOT just the iPhone's Bluetooth page.

So, first set up your connection on the iPhone:

Settings > Bluetooth > On
Look for your device. Select it in the list that opens up.
Select your car stereo model number.
If you need a password, try the default password of "0000."
You should be able to tell if you got a successful pairing at this point, but you still won't be able to place a call until you enter the Menu feature on your car stereo unit.

On your stereo, to make a call, enter the Bluetooth menu:

Press the SRC button (far left hand side, perhaps?) to switch the car stereo's source to BLUETOOTH. (The SRC button is a power button, but it also toggles the audio source!)

Press the Menu button to select a way to make an outgoing call.
After pressing the Menu button, I THINK you'll be able to see various options by rotating the Volume knob at this point. To confirm any selections, you can probably press the Volume knob.

Whereas the Volume knob will rotate and press to view and confirm selections, I'm guessing (because I don't know your specific unit) that you would then use the Band button to dial your selected number, to transfer a call between Handsfree and mobile, to answer a call, or to redial a number (use a long press for this last one -- 1 second).

And then the Menu button is used to end a call or to reject an incoming call.

I hope this helps. Without knowing your model number, it's hard to be specific.

Paired is not connected. Connecting is the next step after pairing. Then make sure that the ilive speaker is set as the dudio output device.

My iphone wont connect to the bluetooth in my valkwagen golf car?

As I have learned the hard way the iphone's bluetooth is only to pair with wireless bluetooth headset and car stereo. You cannot connect to any other kind of devices. Also you must have Iphone Os 3.0 or higher to stream music to your car stereo. If it still does not work then the belkin bluetooth audio receiver should solve your problen

Same exact problem- music player works fine with headphones

If you had a bluetooth device connected and it did not disconnect properly then the phone may be trying to play the sounds to the bluetooth and not the speaker, Turn the phone's bluetooth off and then on and it should work. Also, if you look at a sound file or video file it will show the bluetooth symbol next to it, which means that it is playing to bluetooth and not the phones other outputs.

Music won't play on my bluetooth headphones.

If your handset does not support stereo music on blue tooth headset, then you can not hear music on blue tooth head set. However you are able to answer and make calls through blue tooth headset.

Pair Bluetooth Stereo

put the music player on and press down on the jogwheel, select 'Play Via' and change it to Bluetooth stereo headset. It'll prompt you to open the swivel and take you to the bluetooth devices screen where you select the correct device, it'll then prompt you to close the swivel and will start playing through your headphones :-) Is that what you mean?... It's a bit of a pain really :-(
