You can unsolder the cap from the working speaker and test for that and swap it out to see if it fixes the problem.

How to open a BOSE 161?

Yes, the grill can be removed. To pull out the grill you need to clamp on the sides but inside between the outside of the mesh and the outside part of the main plastic housing. pry at least a one incu on both sides, clamp it and wiggle it up until it pulls out. to reomve the speak is more work, on the center of each side, you will want to use a 1/4" screwdriver, but nice and thick. slide it on the center of one fo the sides of the speaker downward. looking downward on it, you will see two dimples with the center opened. slide the screwdriver between the dimples at least 1/4" down and thenbend outward slightlight the scredriver so it can grab on to the opening underneath the dimples., keep doing this on all four sides until it is loose enough for you to wiggle it our by hand. do note, that the wires inside are real short, to remove the speakers completely you will need to unwind the wiring attached. the wire is solid not mesh, so you will need to use a tweezer of sort or micro screwdriver(such as for glasses) to loosen the wires. once that is done, you can pull out the speakers a swell as other components. remember, the wires inside are real short. not long enough to disconnect them, a little work is needed to disconnect the wires.

Need to purchase valves & brackets for this.....only have the ceramic fixture.

You will probably have to go to a plumbing wholesale house to find the hanger brackets. If they don't have eljer bracket they should have universal brackets that will work fine. They would probable be your best bet for the flush valves also. Thank you.

you're going to need a ohm meter (good electrical testers have them) and make sure ohm ratings from speakers match the ratings for your receivers. Sounds like to much resistance for receiver(s)

Bose lifestyle 25 system and Panasonic Plasma Tv not working together

I posted the message as Tet Tet before. I can now tell you that I have resolved the problem. The issue is with the Panasonic 50Inch TV. Some people reported the same problem but only when the TV was up on the wall. It turns out that the problem lies with the metal discs which screw on at the back of the TV to enable you to hand the TV on the wall bracket. In my case I had excessive interference caused at the back of the TV (could be the fan). When I put the TV on the wall bracket the metal discs would be in contact with the wall bracket which in turn was acting as an antenna causing the iterference to the bose remote which operates at a frequency of 27.45MHz. You can solve the issue by adding some insulating tape around all the metal discs avoiding them to make contact with the wall bracket. If that fails Panasonic will swap your TV for another one like they did with me. I can now enjoy my Bose System with the 50 inch Panasonic TV. It took me three months but managed to get a solution. I hope this helps. For further info you can mail me at rizzocarlo@hotmail.com. These discs should be made of metal because they are perforating the metal screen at the back of the TV. Panasonic please change this design.
