What Kind of a noise is it, and is it characteristic of a single speaker [so is it this one speaker making the noise regardless of where you put it] or a single speaker jack [or is it a single port on your central unit that is causing the noise]? If you're experiencing a hum or sqeaky sound on any speaker that you attach to your central Unit, then the actual port that you're connecting the speakers to is mulfunctional. Otherwise make sure, you dont have any speaker cables running past any high voltage applicances, or even any equipment near such appliances. Another alternative would be to make sure that you speakers aren't torn inside

Hello...ive got a poblem with my alteclansing 151i speakers. the front left and rear left speakers are not working.

try swapping the speakers around if the problem still persists either the speaker is faulty
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your sound card dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
hope this helps

No Right Front Speaker Output

Swap speakers over...check the balance isn't fully to the other channel...swap left/right phono cables over (if thats how your using it) other than that i would say is broke.
Easy way to check speaker cable/speaker... touch a small battery (like used in a remote) across speaker wires, you will hear and see the speaker cone move.

Shorted a RH front speaker, now there is no output from RH channels at all

The output stage of the amplifier (RH channel) was probabla damaged from the grounded cable. The heat in the speaker means that the coil (d^speaker) is recieveng DC power from the damaged amplifier. Audio amplifiers are not special and can be fixed. In many cases, the output stage is a power MOSFET or a power audio amp IC. The only issue is the availability of the parts in your area.
