Make sure the outlet has power, also could be the motor, make sure the power cord is inserted snuggly into the plug on serger . if the serger still won't come on , then the machine needs to be checked

SOURCE: Beeping Sewing Machine

Your problem is most certainly with the buttonhole switch. Firstly: Look if the buttonhole lever, left back of machine, is push up in position. The beeping sound is a warning message. Secondly Remove the light cover, left of the machine, loosen back screw and remove left hand screw completely. Check for a small black electric switch, follow the brown and green elecrtic wire, just back of the light. If you push the BH lever up and down the switch finger should also move up and down. If it stays down, the machine will not work and give a beeping sound. If the switch finger is stuck, push it up with the BH in top position. Hope this will help you

SOURCE: Singer sewing machine beeps and wont repond to commands.

Sounds like you may have a blockage somewhere in the bobbin area that needs cleaning as this is normally what happens when it gets jammed. Reverse sewing can sometimes cause jams. Remove bobbin area and reassemble.

SOURCE: Husqvarna Sewing Machine starts sewing when power switched on

The problem is probably the foot control. The little wires wrapped around the insulator have broken and are shorting against each other or the cord itself has a short. You can purchase an aftermarket foot control at your local shop, this is the cheapest way to try first, if that does not correct the problem replace the cord.

Problems with foot pedal light

sounds like there is a design fault, I suggest if you can take the
machine back and get a different brand of sewing machine.
I've been sewing for over 25 years and I would put up
with that kind of sewing machine.
probably a computer problem.

I pushed the button that has a dot with a circle around it, instead of the ^ down button and now my machine wont sew. I have unplugged it and it still just beeps and wont sew.

The machine is sewing a locking stitch. Just let it keep "sewing" in the same spot - then press the presser foot again and it will start sewing again. Hope this helps.

Sewing Machine light flickers/dims while sewing.

There may be a loose connection. If this is a brand new machine the warranty should cover the repair.

Check the return policy at Sears/K-Mart as it may be better to return it for a replacement.

Will not sew

Try turning off the machine and turning it on again. Sometimes this will reset it so it will work. Also, make sure the embroidery foot is in the down position; the machine will pause and "beep" if you haven't lowered it. Hope this helps!
