Sorry, but there is no way to do this you'll just have to get used to the new numbers. http://www.telus.com/content/help/common/pdf/TELUS_TV_user_guide.pdf

I have a Sharp Aquos 52" LC-52LE810UN. I turned the tv on and assuming that my cablevision box is working, what do I do in settings or other aspect of the tv to make the 1080i work. I have another box...

Actually the cablevision box determines the 1080i. Once it is set on that box the television simply displays it. The cablevision box will have to be connected to the television with component cables or one hdmi cable in order for you to be able to choose 1080i on it. Usually there are resolution numbers on the side of the cable box that tell you if it's on 480, 720, or 1080. There is a red light next to the one the cable box is displaying. If this is not the right kind of cable box for that then you will need to get another one from Cablevision or just eliminate the box entirely and run the cable straight to the television. Yes you can do that and use the television's digital tuner for a beautiful, crisp picture. After removing the cable box and screwing the coax cable onto the back of the television you will have to press the input button and scroll up to TV and press enter (use a Sharp remote). Then press menu and scoll over to setup and down to CH setup. Then scroll to CH search and begin searching for the available channels. You will now use a Sharp remote to change channels.

My mintek dtv-373-d is stuck on encrypted channela nd will not do anything else. I can't get the menu to come up or anything to change. help

I'm assuming you have Cablevision. This is becoming a known problem with their broadcasting system. They have been upgrading and it has been causing the TVs to freeze up on a specific channel .

Simple way to fix it:
1. Unplug tv
2. Unplug coax from tv
3. Plug tv back in
4. In the Menu go to Setup > CH setup > CH Memory > Cable (digital)
5. Enable channel skip for channel that it is currently stuck on
6. Push Menu to exit
7. Change to any other channel
8. Reconnect coax to tv.

Followup:
Avoid this channel and go give Cablevision a call and let them know about it. They won't do anything to fix it until they get a certain number of reported issues about the problem

Skips past all channels after 13. CableVision

I don't know the exact step to set it because I don't know you model TV. When you go to menu set channels it should give you the option to choose cable or air. If you pick cable all your channels will be in VHF which is what you want. If you pick air the first 13 channels will be VHF and the rest will be UHF which cable don't work on. After you pick cable then auto program and you should get all your channels. If this helps you and I hope it does give me a vote please.

What TV station does PS2 use - I thought it was channel 3 (on cablevision)

There isn't a specific channel that your PS2 uses, just your TV. try pressing 00 on your remote or push the input button and see if that solves your problem.

I have a new dp26649 if i have cablevision doi

You should be able to simply put the TV on channel 3. Make sure you're on the correct input or source and then use the number pad on the remote to input the channel number.

Hitachi 51SWX20B is this TV HD ready?

In answer to your question, you have an HD TV Monitor, which means that your television is capable of viewing high definition, but does not have an HD tuner. You will need a separate tuner or in the case of cable, a HD cable box. These are the only options that you have for viewing high definition channels.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue.
If I have helped you, please help me, and rate this suggestion the highest FixYa rating. (Two Thumbs UP) If you cannot rate this post with the highest rating, then please comment to this post and I will try to help you further.

New Insignia 19 inch when hooked up to Optimum Cablevision does NOT get any cable channels..JUST basic channels...OLDER TVS all get the Cablevision full spectrum of chanels. Does it require a BOX to work...

yes, the premium channels are in a band width only reachable with a cable box. The standard or what would be over the airwave channels are available without a "box" in the basic cable tier.

TV gets stuck on channel, won't advance past channel 7.1

Try doing the Channel Search again. See if that helps.

If not, sounds like the Digital Board could be defective. Since this TV is brand new suggest calling your local sharp authorized service center to replace that board under warranty.
