Question about Canon PIXMA MX310 All-In-One Printer
As komguy says above, the best way to fix this error is to feed paper through the printer manually. i found that a full sized sheet of cart stock did the trick. feed it from the rear paper tray and manually turn the gears to the far left of the printer.

Use mirror and flashlight to look down paper feeder from the rear, gently pull paper toward the rear. An index card can be fed from the front to the rear to push paper out by turning the gears you see on the left side inside the front cover. Be careful not to force anything.

Disconnect the Brother machine from the poweroutlet.
Open the scanner cover by pulling up on the lower right corner of the cover.Check the print head's position. Should be on the far left hand side.Gently move the print head to the center, but to NOT force it.Examine under the print head. If anything is found, remove it.
