Saeco Odea Giro Alarm stay led on (Intermittent)

Coffee is grinded then the alarm led "!" will stay on. I did bring the machine to a service center, but the guy keep changing part and problem is unresolved. The guy told me that he was able to do 20 coffees in a row. I'm not able to do 4 in the same sequence. The O'ring seal on the piston has been change A microswitch has been changed Adjustment on the grinder The service man told me that my coffee is probably to greasy. Did try with another one, same problem. True that my original coffee was very oily appearance, still we did use the same coffee for the last 5 years. Is there a way to do a diagnostic to read witch sensor is causing the problem? Is there a way to reset the machine to it's original state. Maybe the logic is self adjusting and for whatever reason the program is loss Any help appreciated

I assume you tried to clean and oil the brewing block. This is a great video to diagnose your Odea:

Testimonial: "Uccio, Thanks for your help. Will look at the video after this post (probably I have seen it :) )Yes I did cleaned, very often, and greased the block. Once in a while, I disassembled the block to thoroughly cleaned it and grease. As mentioned, the machine was bring to a service center, 3 time. Worked properly there but after few coffee at home the problem resumed. The guy told me that probably the machine is sensing that not a good amount of coffee has been grind. Did clean the coffee bean container, the coffee funnel with a cloth and alcohol. Did try another coffee brand, Problem remain."

Can you prime the water circuit? If not, chage the turbine low behind. A second solution is to verify the water sensor level, near the turbine.

Testimonial: "gvincentiu, Thank you for your help. Yes, I.m able to prime the machine. I'm able to use the steam spout. The initial cleaning when open up is normally done, so I suppose the water sensor is properly doing it's job. Yesterday night, I did the descaling process steps. Will see if it help. It would be great if I was able to get a diagnostic code that would pin point to the problem when it occur. Have a good day and a good coffee (you lucky guy :) )"

Hello again gvincentiu. I did all the test and coffee maker pass all of them. The machine made the problem once this morning. After, I was able to brew 4 or 5 coffees. I did play a bit with the grind size. I can't say if it will resolve the problem

Again, the machine grind the coffee, then stop before initiating the movement of the brew unit ( raise to the water drip metal plate) and starting the water pump. Meaning the error when I get one is probably at the end of the grinding process.

May be the grinder is fine, and the problem is at next step: did you try to reset the brew unit?

Saeco odea giro is not grinding enough coffee.. the pad is like half or less than that.. it seems like a pcv problem .. HOw can I reset or reprogram to grind more coffee?

Hi,..These saeco models have a auto adjusting grinder. If the brewunit is heavy or in other words overloading, the machine will reduce the grinding time lesser to produce less ground coffee. If it senses the brewunit is smooth and light in loading (compressing the grounds), it will increase the grinding until it reaches the optimum dose. So it is important to clean and lubricate the brew unit at all times. Hope it will solve the problem. Good luck.

Re Odea Giro Plus - Cannot stop the red alarm

The problem is with the flow meter which is a turbine unit that is installed before the pump.Either there is a blockage or the unit is bad.Have to open the machine to get into it.

Saeco Odea Giro alarm light on all the time and temp light off

Hi,

Make sure everything is fitted in place, there are several sensors that can bring the lamp to light. I have not heard that the water sensor is gone on Odea machine.

Can the machine run the selftest and can you see any water come out?
