The water container has a dime looking ring on the side of it. The side that meets the machine.. There is a sensor on the machine that lines up with that metal ring on water container. This is a photo eye. What is happening is air bubbles are building up on the wall of the water container. Kind of like a carbonated drink. the eye is getting interrupted by small air bubbles coming in between the metal ring and photo eye on the machine. So tap on container like you would a soft drink. Slowly remove the container and you will see a couple air bubbles resting on sensor ring. IT THINKS ITS EMPTY. It usually happens when coffee pot sets for awhile. Air bubbles collect on the sides.

My water heater shuts down in cold weather. How do I fix this problem

Add tempering tank.
Tempering tank made from old tank-type water heater, or small tank heater will passively heat incoming water.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tempering-tank.html

This works because tankless can only raise temperature so many degrees. If water is very cold, tankless cannot keep up, so the sensors shut down the unit.
Passively preheating water... or using a small tank connected to power can preheat water enough so tankless works.
Also delime tankless each year will help remove natural scale that builds up inside tankless heat exchanger.

Im having a problem with getting agood lather from my campbells machine

First, make sure the water you are using is soft. I have a softener, so I don't need to buy it...but if I did, I'd buy a gallon of distilled water from the grocery store.

To that water you need to add the soap...1 'cap' full per cup of water. I mix as I use it. I beleive 1 bottle (8oz) mixes wiht 1 gallon of water. If you premix a gallon at a time, be sure to shake/rock/mix the water...the soap will fall out of solution.

Make sure the unit also has had time to preheat. Hot works much better than cold. I used to travel to my shop where I needed to take my own latherizer. I'd plug it into a small 400 watt inverter in the car and let it get hot on the way...then I'd heat my soap for a few seconds in a microwave to warm it to about 90 degrees. Everything worked great.

Also, campbells sells a cleaner...I add a cap full as well to keep sludge from forming. I don't know if it has helped...but it hasn't hurt.

Why is my add coolant light on

your coolant light is on because there is not enough coolant in the radiator. When the coolant is hot it expands and the excess water is pushed out into the reservoir and as it cools down the water is sucked back in and so keeps the top tank of the radiator full. However if you have a leak or a faulty radiator cap the water comes out ok but instead of sucking back in water it allows air in instead. Therefore you have a one way circuit of water out but no water back in. Your coolant light is telling you to check out the fault before you over heat the engine

Trying to keep large # of hot dogs in buns warm. Do I put water in the roaster before adding the insert containing the hot dogs?

The Owner's Guide for the Rival 18qt Roaster Oven with Buffet Server is available here:

http://www.rivalproducts.com/manuals/MANUALS/RO180BR-C_43_18972586.PDF

See Page 6 for full instructions on use as a buffet server.

You would normally fill the removable roasting pan with 5 to 6 quarts of water ot 1/2 - 3.4 full. Place in the buffet server frame and the empty serving dishes and then preheat at 350 degrees until hot.

Place hot, cooked food in the serving dishes and reduce heat to 250 degree to keep food warm. Adjust the temperature and add more hot water as necessary.

Your Owner's Guide for the Rival 18 qt. Roaster Oven with Buffet Server can be found here:

http://www.rivalproducts.com/manuals/MANUALS/RO180BR-C_43_18972586.PDF

Refer to page 6 for complete instructions.

You do not add water or anything below the roasting pan. You fill your roasting pan 1/2 to 3/4 full with water, place in the empty serving dishes, then preheat at 350 degrees until hot (about 1/2 hour).

Then fill the serving dishes and reduce heat to 250 degrees. You may need to adjust heat and more hot water if necessary.
