I have a nad 3130 amplifier which has been in storage for sometime. I've plugged it in and I have no power to the amp.

If the fuses are good....do this.....
1...unplug the amp from the wall AND KEEP IT UNPLUGGED !!!
2 Turn the power switch on ( again , the amp is UNPLUGGED from the wall )
3 with an ohm meter or a multimeter set on ohms., measure the ohms across the ac cord that plugs into the wall....in other words...take one meter lead and touch it to only one " blade" that plugs into the wall and keep it touching the " blade".....while you are holding it there, touch the other meter lead to the other " blade " that plugs into the wall.....you should get a very low ohm reading ( 2-50 ohms )......if it is over that number, your transformer or your switch is open ( toast ). hopefully it is the switch as transformers are un-available......good luck, be safe, and if you arent sure....ask before doing something silly.....Rob

How fix amplifier

Basics first check voltage on main dc rails on pcb you can do a cross check from the good Chanel be careful from electric shock left hand always in pocket if voltage ok then you need a signal injector giving high impedance output and series capacitor to block dc it will needs a 400 to 3500 hz. Frequency. There are plenty of circuit diagrams on the net for self build or use the line out from a PC with music playing remember the series capacitor and 20k resistor. Now you have to put signal into audio path through amp starting at the jack socket and moving to various parts until the sound is heard when this happens it is the previous parts faulty.

How to reset a NAD L54 DVD reciever?

This is the technical solution, you have to open the unit:
Locate IC33 and connect pin 6 to ground, connect power, and then remove the ground connection at pin 6.
The unit will then boot up in factory default.

Blue flash,,n bang???

Open it up and look around. Should be easy to find the cause, just follow your nose and by that I mean the smell of the burnt part. However the problem might be tracking down what it is since the number of the part be it transistor or IC might have been destroyed with it!

NAD T760

You should connect the RCA connectors from your turntable into the phono input of the preamp. Also, make sure you have the grounding wire from the TT connected to the grounding on the preamp (if you do not have a grounding point, then just connect it to one of the screws on the preamp). Then connect the output from the preamp to either the Tape or the CD points on the T760. On the front panel press tape monitor and you're done.

Check and let me know how it goes. My set up's working fine except for clarity, which still needs to be perfected. I'm using a normal step-up phono stage.
